Hello and good morning, ATS!

Do you love music as much as I do? While I enjoy the light-hearted sound of pop music, I am much more inclined towards emotive music that I can feel deep down in my soul. I don't believe there is any other art form that can produce that wave of emotion that music can. Not only can music connect us with our peers, but it also connect us with our own selves, our true essence. This is what makes me feel truly alive.

Here are a few songs that affect me right down to the core.

John Frusciante:

Nirvana (that primal scream at the end!):

Etta James:

Blind Willie Johnson:

Maria Callas:

Please share some of the songs that affect you on that soul level. Thanks for stopping in and I wish you a wonderful Monday.

By contrast, let me share a song that affects me in a really bad way--produced by AI, this song makes me feel extremely uneasy. I don't like listening to it at all.
WARNING: Bad vibes for quite a few listeners! The comments on Youtube say it all. One person said this would be the song blaring from speakers when the terminators take to the streets. Yikes.

No soul. Produces bad head energy to me. Maybe you should avoid this one!

This song did even before I saw the bass player, and that added to it.

Kurt Cobain had some songs so emotional it feels like I'm going to pop.. Like gawd damn dude I can feel it so deep inside the universe might end.

The three songs in my signature are like that I think.

If not in pure emotion definitely in content.

all must be in full screen for best effect. Especially the second song is intense, but the video is key to make the lyrics get their meaning. It's like wreck reverbs song haha..

I live for intense music these days..

I still don't really understand why,
But every time I hear
Sarah McLachlan - In the arms of an angel
I at least tear up, if not bawl.

And this was before the ASPCA used it.

Well, it won't play... but it is "Beloved" by VNV Nation. Also, props on the Dead Can Dance track. I have always loved that song.

speaking of angels..
My first ex sang angel as he senior acapella song. So it's even more loaded for me than usual..

this is a different angel song..

even more intense for me.

oh and well that's personal..

I'll live..

Please don't go too deep in there.. perhaps there's no coming back.

So glad for all the great music on here! These are definitely going on a playlist. For days when I'm feeling a little too happy, to bring me back to earth a bit.

Oh that Angel song is beautiful. I have a new favorite. Thank you for sharing.
