Several years ago when I was doing a northern route I got to experience some rather fantastic Northern Lights at altitude. If you follow the link you can get a birds eye view of what they look like at 35 and 36,000 ft. Nothing earth shattering, just a brief mystical encounter of our amazing earth and sun relationship. www.rt.com...

Footage of the Northern Lights as captured onboard an Air Canada flight has been posted online, showing off the sheer beauty of the natural light display.

Also known as the Aurora Borealis, the footage was shot by photographer Nathan Starzynski while flying between Southeastern Alberta and Winnipeg in Canada during a flight Tuesday.
