Oh, lord, I will restrain from watching, I can only see the rhetoric about how good Obamacare is and how evil Trump is going to leave all the littler children without insurance.

What's really disappointing is that even though most people who have ObamaCare Health Insurance want to be able to choose something else, Republicans keep holding these ridiculous TOWN HALLS and getting lambasted by a very loud ObamaCare supporters...who get even louder if there is Television media present.

Loud "Don't take My ObamaCare!" minority is being ignored..for now.
thehill.com...

BUT... Senator Sanders and Schumer are calling for a massive set of nationwide "ObamaCare Support" protests on Saturday, February 25, 2017.
Source: thehill.com...

The Republicans have the votes to nip all these protests in the bud by getting the repeal/replace process underway in the next few days. When it comes to ObamaCare, Republican leaders are starting to look like "FAKERS" of the highest order!

Forget repeal and replace.

Our liberal friends have given us another path to take.

Just declare every city, town, state in the union a 'Sanctuary'.

And guess what people ?

There is NOTHING they can do about it.

Well, just as good a plan as the GOP has come up with, and I'll bet it didn't take you seven years, either. And how much money did congress piss away in trying to repeal?
They seem to have made suckers out of their supporters. There's a surprise!

It's totally disgusting how FAKE NEWS CNN takes people who are in the minority of ObamaCare patients, and builds entire articles and TV news segments around them. Articles and Segments that are filled with critical omissions, in order to push the network's Anti-American/Anti-Republican/Anti-Trump agenda.

Here's a PERFECT example: www.cnn.com...

Here's a list of the $500 Billion in Tax Increases and Penalties that would be eliminated if "ObamaCare" is repealed.

jeffduncan.house.gov...

At first thought, this seems to be welcome news. But on second thought, the Replacement to ObamaCare will cost a bundle too. Perhaps the taxes and penalties should stay in place, but take another form..depending on the replacement plan.

That's as it SHOULD be. Let ObamaCare STAY. Those who want a myriad number of benefits, high-deductible and the high premium, can stick with good-ole Obamacare.

Those 40 year olds who are in good health and don't want Maternity, Mental, Abortions, etc.. can get a $1,000 Deductible for $300 a month, instead of the $800 a month $7,000 deductible full-featured ObamaCare plan.

On a related note, it's interesting how the left demonizes wall-street, but never seems to say anything about the insurance industry. When you consider that industry's power, money, control, excesses, abuses and influence, you'd think they'd be featured prominently on the left's Mount Rushmore of villains.

Stop right there. That's 100% wrong. The left wing has been pushing for single payer health care and other forms of universal health care for years. In fact, the criticism against our plans is that in the worse case, they would put all of the health insurers out of business altogether. We've been arguing the whole time that healthcare shouldn't have profit margins.

ETA: Even during the healthcare debates, we were pushing for at least a govt issued "public option" which would compete directly against the insurance companies.

Democrats created 23 Public-Options..over 23 states. They went "live" on 1.1.2014. Great plans..lower premiums..government subsidized. Only 4 are left..and barely. The other 19 went bankrupt. Falling like dominos over the past 3 years.

The foot-dragging, brain-frozen, chicken-little, devoid of balls, vacation-loving, Republican Senate is going to screw themselves up ROYALLY, come 2018.

They promised so much, and aren't delivering SQUAT. LYING TO AMERICA FOR YEARS!

Now, the chickens are coming home to roost. The first casualty of the REPUBLICAN DO-NOTHINGS, is Humana Insurance Company of America. Companies have to file their 2018 rates for ObamaCare plans, by April 30, 2017. Humana will not participate in any ObamaCare exchange in 2018, because there's no indication what-so-ever coming from the Senate, regarding what the 2018 landscape MIGHT look like.

See what I mean?

Rand Paul left a Republican meeting tonight...further fracturing their already lose cohesion...

""Politico reported that Paul was unhappy with the meeting and the prospect of keeping health law’s Medicaid expansion. He called creating tax credits a “new entitlement program.”

“I hear things that are unacceptable to me,” Paul told the website. “If they don’t seem to care what conservatives think about complete repeal of Obamacare, they’re going to be shocked when they count the votes.”
Attendees reportedly said Ryan laid out a timeline that would start the repeal process by the end of February and pass it by the end of March.

President Trump, according to some in the party, has been fueling the confusion by not being specific about how he plans to take on the six-and-a-half-year-old Obamacare. He has said, during his candidacy that he would “repeal and replace” the law with “something far better.”"

Today, The U.S. department of Health and Human Services, led by TOM PRICE, officially issued a proposed new rule that strengthens ObamaCare.

Excerpt from: www.usnews.com...

""The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced Wednesday that it was proposing to tighten the ways people can enroll for coverage on health insurance exchanges created under President Barack Obama's health care law, giving in to concerns from insurers who have said the markets haven't been stable and are causing them to lose money.

Under the proposed rule, people who do not receive health insurance from an employer would have six weeks instead of three months to sign up for coverage during open enrollment. The proposal would also put in place stronger vetting practices to make sure those who buy plans outside of open enrollment submit evidence to show they did so because of major life changes, such as a divorce, a move or getting a new job.

It also would require that people who drop out of coverage before the year is over pay the premiums they would have accrued for the full year before they are can enroll for the following year. Currently, customers who neglect to pay their premiums can continue to receive care for 90 days before an insurer drops their policy, with insurers responsible for the full cost of the first 30 days and providers shouldering the last 60 days.

The proposed rule, which comes with a three-week comment period, is the first under the new health secretary, Tom Price. It demonstrates the willingness of the Trump administration to help stabilize the exchanges created under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, before working to undo and replace some of its provisions.""

---IN MY OPINION---

AT FIRST GLANCE, one would think that ObamaCare is staying. In a way, it is.. but only for those who want/need to stay on the program's government subsidized Individual Insurance, or on Free Medicaid.

Those who are relatively healthy, will be allowed to qualify for, and purchase health insurance plans that meet their individual needs...at a MUCH lower price than what they're FORCED to pay, under today's Affordable Care Act law.

This configuration would be a win-win for everyone, as long as the government doesn't get rid of the Advance Premium Tax Credits (aka Subsidy $$$) that helps people pay the expensive ObamaCare premiums and most of the $7,000 deductible.

UPDATE from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regarding the Penalty-Tax for not having ObamaCare-approved health insurance coverage.

Excerpt from: www.irs.gov...

"This year, 2017, the IRS put in place system changes that would reject tax returns during processing in instances where the taxpayer didn’t provide information related to health coverage.

However, the Jan. 20, 2017, executive order from President Trump, directed federal agencies to exercise authority and discretion available to them, to reduce potential burden.‎ Consistent with that, the IRS has decided to make changes that would continue to allow electronic and paper returns to be accepted for processing in instances where a taxpayer doesn’t indicate their coverage status."

In laymen's terms: If you don't have health insurance, just leave the box blank that asks if you do, and move along to the next item. Unless Democrats stage a successful government coupe, you will never have to make an "Individual Shared Responsibility Payment" (aka Penalty for not having health insurance), again.

A new complexity is about to be added to the entire Repeal-Replace saga.

President Trump told Republican governors today that his Administration (primarily HHS Secretary TOM PRICE) will soon unveil a plan that will be better than the one unveiled by the Senate last week.

Source: thehill.com...

I hope the President and the Senate can somehow merge the best parts of their plans into a single unified Obamacare replacement, or else we'll have GRIDLOCK within the GOP on this issue.

Thankfully, President Trump's speech to Congress last night caused most GOP leaders to begin rallying around a single Repeal-Replace plan. It's called the "House plan". Penned by Tom Price and Paul Ryan.

""After Trump's speech, it appeared the new administration had begun doggedly advocating for the House plan.
Helping boost leaders even more are the administration's personalized efforts to sell the House GOP's plan. A Republican leadership aide confirmed Wednesday that Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price had been making individual calls to members.

He also makes house calls. Price and a couple of aides met earlier Wednesday with North Carolina GOP Rep. Mark Walker, chair of a group of fiscal conservatives who has been publicly critical of the leadership's draft health care bill.

Walker, who criticized leadership's plan to offer tax credits to help some people buy coverage and advocated for tax deductions instead, essentially admitted that he has given up the fight on that issue and is focused on working on the broader proposal.""
