Hopefully the uneducated whites that handed Trump the election will line up to pick the produce, as there will be a lot of job openings soon in the agricultural section.

Oh Wait

Story from the LA Times that cites experts and others about Trump's EO that will "shore-up" enforcement against illegal immigrants in the U.S.

The sensationalized article talks about wild things like roundups and detentions.

They mention possibilities like food stamp recipients here illegally with children born here could be targets.

More possibilities about crops going unpicked and businesses that "cater to" illegals could go broke !!

And of course, it says countries receiving deported people could put a "strain" on the U.S. Government !!

Trump is targeting up to 8 million people for deportation

When President Trump ordered a vast overhaul of immigration law enforcement during his first week in office, he stripped away most restrictions on who should be deported, opening the door for roundups and detentions on a scale not seen in nearly a decade.

Up to 8 million people in the country illegally could be considered priorities for deportation, according to calculations by the Los Angeles Times. They were based on interviews with experts who studied the order and two internal documents that signal immigration officials are taking an expansive view of Trump’s directive.

Far from targeting only “bad hombres,” as Trump has said repeatedly, his new order allows immigration agents to detain nearly anyone they come in contact with who has crossed the border illegally. People could be booked into custody for using food stamps or if their child receives free school lunches.

Well that's at least 3 million more jobs for US citizens hitting the market quick....

Switch stuff around. Reduce government employees like He proposes freeing up wages, pensions, traffic, and the burdens associated with government employees. Billions no doubt a year 'just a guess' .......... Take that now and transfer 'some' of that labor force and invest it into ICE agents. And still have tons of $$$ to boot left over.

Go after the illegals in earnest, each and every one detained, processed, printed and DNA verified and then deported. Come back, get caught go to the Fema detention camps. Beyond that.... get really harsh like Gitmo surroundings and atmosphere to deter repeat entry invasions into the US.

Without a secure border, were through. No more freedom, or prosperity, it will all be stolen from you. Death by a thousand cuts.

..just to clarify,

I'm Pro-fence.

8 million less people spending money and paying rent. That is going to hurt, and then we will also have the 20% import tax. How can you be excited for this? I'm shocked how many Americans think Trump is going to make them rich.

Well...when they account for 3000+ drunk driving deaths per year I'd say the money is worth it.

Well, as the bible says,

Whoso removeth stones shall be hurt therewith; -- KJV, Ecclesiastes 10:9

The nation is build on various stones. Most people don't think the stones that hold up the building are anything special.

It's when you remove one of these stones that you discover how important that building block was in the economy as a whole.

Who are these California businesses going to get to work for them for those unlivable wages? Who are the people of California going to get to clean their houses, take care of their lawns, and do other work for such a cheap price, they will need to start doing the stuff themselves.

I realize that not everyone from California is like that, but a lot are, the illegals are doing a lot of those kinds of jobs for people who make way more than they do while not working half as hard.

Sympathies aside, they did it to themselves ..(illegals)

First they stole jobs, then they snuck here in hoardes, then overpopulated all the labor force, and wages are now garbage because of the worker to job imbalance. They stole all of construction away.

Their keen to take advantage. ..........and were too generous to our own detriment. The border must be addressed and soon. I'm confident Trump will be on it quickly.

Something I have to remind my wife of all the time, Mom and Dad may be undocumented, but that child born on our soil is an American citizen. Many of you are arguing for denying them their rights, while bitching that your own are being infringed. Immigration is a serious issue, and needs to be figured out, but knee jerk reactions do not fix anything.

Tell you congressmen and women to sit down and figure this crap out.

Yes!
And who will spend the welfare now?
And who will have babies and other costly hospital services then skip out on the expensive bills? This is horrible!

How in the world do you personally know for fact that those 8 million illegal immigrants are doing that?!?! You don't.

Hell yes people!

Deport them ALL

Get rid of those 8 million people from one country.

We gotta make room for terrorists from seven different countries.

God Bless 'Merika' everyone

That kind of work will be mostly automated in the very near future.

The Rise of the Robot Farmer: Australia Set to Have Fully Automated Vegetable Farms by 2025

So, those looking ahead see this kind of work as going obsolete. Robots will be able to do what undocumented workers do now. When that happens, what will they do?

So you will admit in public that you are willing to deport the parents of an American citizen, even though that citizen is a minor, are you and yours prepared to provide their care?

Hey maybe the incoming refugees from the "7" can be indoctrinated into a new DHS enforcement unit that specializes in illegal immigrant identification.

I hear Monsanto is formulating a new "Round-up" product.

California is leaving the USA. The former state won't be subject to existing national laws. Maybe Mexico will add California to that country's union of states.
