It's all about communication, my friend. Well done.

Overuse of ellipsis does not bother me. I like to type as close as I can to how I would be speaking the sentence.
Ellipses convey a sense of foreboding even though that's not the way they were intended.
I will also use all caps on single words for emphasis rather than the tiresome act of using bold or italics as well.
One habit I tend to go overboard on sometimes is using a dash when a period or comma would work but to me, it seems like it again, replicates how I would actually be speaking it. Somehow a little different(shorter?) than using the correct punctuation.
And don't get me started on my bad habit of adding a smiley face at nearly every sentence in a chat message.
I never cease to be amazed by how smart people who think like me are.

Over use? NEVAH!!!
I mean...come on...it's the only way to imply dramatic pause or more...something....in text speak.
Oops...meant punctuation marks... obviously

Yeah..."quotation marks". I forgot what else I was going to say. Oh well.
