Trump encourages senate to ‘go nuclear’
www.theguardian.com...

President pushes Supreme Court nominee… Gorsuch in spotlight… ‘putting Iran on notice’ after missile test…

Trump administration 'officially putting Iran on notice', says Michael Flynn
www.theguardian.com...

The Trump administration has said it was “officially putting Iran on notice” in reaction to an Iranian missile test and an attack on a Saudi warship by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen but gave no details about how Washington intended to respond.

The threat was made on Wednesday by the national security adviser, Michael Flynn, in his first public statement since taking office.

Speaking in the White House briefing room, Flynn said a missile launch on Sunday and a Houthi attack on a Saudi frigate on Monday underlined Iran’s “destabilizing behavior across the Middle East.”...

So Trump was not happy with Obama admin giving away billions of dollars to Iran to prevent them from going nuclear for the next 10 years....in fact he wanted a better deal than that!

Now Iran is testing missile, non-nuclear, but testing nevertheless! What sort of foreign policy allows another country to practice military warfare which may lead to nuclear arms after the 10 year period is up?

I think Trump is doing good to toughen up on Iran. I don't think this means nuking Iran, but definitely something is cooking in the White House.

I thought Trump was an anti-war non-interventionalist?

Don't let me hear that argument from you guys in future.

Click bait title OP.. Noticed you changed it from the original too. Which was "Trump puts Iran on notice." You also smashed together 2 separate stories to make the click bait title.

Now that aside, I read nothing about going to war or going nuclear on Iran.

You are fake news! LOL.

I don't agree with Trump's stance on Iran, even remotely, but the thread title is inaccurate. You've merged two separate stories here....

Where does it say anything about using nukes or even conventional weapons against Iran?
A spokesperson said nothing other than "all options are being considered".

That statement by itself could mean anything.

Im really sick of all the BS and hyperbole thats spouted by the MSM and its cadre of useful idiots everytime anyone in Trumps administration says anything.

People need to get a grip and come back to reality

Dude, his "going nuclear" comment was in regards to the left filibustering, not Iran.

This is a phenomenal example of fake news.

How well-stocked is the Bunker Bar?

I know, I know, the thread is not about nuking Iran.... yet.... so just asking for future reference. Hell, even any suggestion of battlefield nukes is ....was.... deemed unthinkable.

Hey sorry members for the ATS thread title. I came across that one wrong. My apologies didn't mean to make a bait and switch thread...just something that would draw eyes on the fact that Trump is going after Iran and their military program.

Thank you, this means a lot to me. Takes alot to admit when ya got it wrong.

I don't think he wants to go to war. But right now Iran is flexing it's muscle and we are still obligated to check that flexing and keep an eye on them. Up until recently they didn't have the means to make ballistic nukes but now they do.
