It's an executive order. That's what it is. But its stated purpose is quite clear:

Classifying everyone from those countries as a terrorist, regardless of whether they have a green card or valid travel visa. Can you tell me why none of the middle eastern countries that Trump does business in were listed? The 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia. Why wasn't it targeted? Women in Saudi Arabia are extremely oppressed. It wasn't touched because of its oil and Trump's business interests.

Within U.S. territory, non-citizens have rights because of the 14th Amendment, which declares “nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." They were unlawfully held in airports on US soil and some deported back to their home countries. Their rights under the 14th amendment were violated. Abiding by the 14th amendment isn't a showing of weakness but rather a showing of strength, proving that we put our principals ahead of our bigotry, hate and fear. It's proof that we will not allow the actions of individuals cause us, out of fear, to abandon everything we believe in. The biggest threat to America isn't terrorists. It's people like yourself who care so little for civil liberties.

False. Multiple federal circuits have entered preliminary injunctions barring enforcement of the executive order to prevent irreparable harm to those affected by the order who have done absolutely nothing wrong.

....It is also a ban of Christian, Buddhist , Jewish, Chinese, British, African and any other religion or race of people that might be in the country that is on the banned list. Because it's an entire country ban.

Ok guys I have some steam to let out
, everyone in here saying stupid comments like "it's constitutional", "this will keep us safer" "Obama did something similar" please gtfo into the world and learn about what is right and what is wrong, what is for the benefit of everyone, vs the benefit of the few......

let me start by saying this country was founded on immigrants and built by immigrants.. we have the idea that anyone being persecuted for whatever' they believe in be it religious or ideology have somewhere where they will be accepted.. these refugees, no these people are escaping poverty, destruction, and death. I agree, it's not a Muslim ban, it's a 90 day hiatus.... to give time to implement a vetting process that would, hopefully, decrease the risk of Islamist terrorists coming to the USA...

It's not fear that drives this.... it's vigilance... We have lost too many lives in the USA post 9/11 due to what is Radical Islamists allowed into our country.. to kill Americans..

Is the USA without fault? Is the UK without fault? GET real, if there is a nation that should bear the brunt of betrayal of the middle east... it's the UK...

I am sure Sweden, Denmark, Germany.. the folks.. not the globalists... pray for their recent past... not the nightmare of refugees taking over their country's..... Just sayin......

Wow kool thanks. I did not see that one yet! He could have done a lot more for all the money they spent on vacations every two months.
And Trump is just geting started, give him time, he plans to remove the illegals so the rest of us are safer, citizens and refugees alike.

We've been using the honor system to vet potential terrorists.

All they have to do is pose as a refugee to come here. Yes, they will be interrogated several times, then made to promise they didn't lie. Does that sound like a good policy?

And where was all the racism during the tsunami in Indonesia? Earthquake in Haiti? Chechnya, Darfur, Bosnia?

There is a very significant difference in the Middle East. We are involved in most of the violence. People have a reason to seek revenge on us.

you will have to ask Obama, it is the list crafted during his tenure. Trump just goes with the flow. I think they should swap out Iran for Saudi Arabia, then it would make sense.

Saudi Arabia has a government that you can call to verify someone's identity. So, Saudi Arabia isn't on the list.

Any country that Trump did business in has a government that you can call to verify someone's identity. That's why they're not on the list.

The entire ME has oil. Syria has oil and is on the list.

So, the list has nothing to do with Trump's business interests or oil.

You can not call ISIS to verify someone's identity. So, Syria is on the list.

The list is for anti-terrorism purposes.
