Yeah, there are plenty of legal scary looking guns in canada that someone might describe as an "AK47". VZ58 and SG542 for example.

There's plenty of internal strife and schisms within the religion, just like many others. One sect decides that the other sect isn't the "right kind" of religious or is preaching the "wrong kind" of message.

It was only a few hundred years ago that Protestants and Catholics were taking it in turns to try to violently purge each other from Europe, both sides believing themselves to be acting in the name of God.

Don't try to apply logic or rationality to a decision made on religious grounds. If it turns out to be religious, of course.

Radio Canada now reports that the suspects are Studying at University Laval,
both residents in Quebec, one born in Marocco.

Accoring to "une source près de l'enquête." a source close to the Investigation.

Radio Canada

Still no official sources, so take it with a grain of salt..

Fox News is now reporting the same thing...

One of two gunmen who shouted 'Allahu akbar!' as they opened fire at a mosque in Quebec City was of Moroccan origin, a witness and local media reported Monday, revealing the first details about the attackers in the massacre that killed six people.

The two unnamed suspects were arrested soon after the shooting at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre Sunday night, police spokesman Constable Pierre Poirier said. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the attack, calling it a “terrorist attack on Muslims.”

The attackers were students at Université Laval, a school in Quebec, a source close to the investigation told Radio Canada, saying one was Moroccan.

Morroco Connection?

I just watchedthe live stream of the press conference from the Quebec Police on Radio Canada.

It was difficult to understand, low audio quality, and the Quebec french is... kinda special.

What I got: they dance around the question of nationality, religion, background of the 2 suspects (ongoing investigation....)

They confirmed, that the 2nd suspect called 911 to turn himself in.

And they backpaddle from the term 'Terrorism'. "we will do investigations first, and then determine if it was Terrorism.

One reporter asked if the mosque was under any kind of investigation or interest by the police. Police: Can't answer this question.

(This despite there have been incidents before, like a pighead placed at the door...)

All in all not much informations, but the evasion of questions is at least noteworthy.

QC stands for Quebec City by the way.

lol

No!

QC stands for the province of Quebec.

Quebec is a province in the country of Canada. Quebec city is a city within the province of Quebec. St-Laurent is a borough of Montreal. Montreal is also a city within the province of Quebec.

The other poster is right, the link is for a mosque in Montreal, not Quebec city as you claim.

Can you just please admit that you are wrong about this minute detail and leave it be? It's so painful watching people argue over trivial details on matters which they know absolutely nothing about.

Wow...

Geography 101 bro.

One of the shooter was using a AK47 wich if im right is not legal here in Canada

SKS is legal in Canada, very much the same firearm.

No, it isn't. Both are the same caliber, but that's about it.

It was a radical Islamic Moroccan who opened fire with someone else.

Initial fake news reports about pigs heads 6 months ago were to make people think it was anti Muslim locals who attacked. Now the truth is out but the damage was done by the MSM with their tainted early reporting messaging as per usual.

Ok so what? We got to let the others get it out of thier system then after coming to North America? Looks like they have brought their trash home and it may only be the beginning. Yours is stupid logic. Certainly in nations that have taken measures to curtail the power of state church FU****G over 200 years ago! And this isnt Europe! Screw European history were their mistakes haven't served to form a better union. Your logic would provide of tolerance whiel they came here and blew each other up....based on European history?

Oh yous don't have anything like that in your constitution?

I just read the news about the shooter, what a mess, an unhappy Moroccan, I guess he most had some problem with the leaders of the mosque, was after one particular person.

I hope they find out what prompted the man to do such a thing.

Well, if he was radicalized is it any wonder the mosque leaders would give him problems after identifying him as such and perhaps suggesting a mental health investigation, or contacting police?

“We want to be having the discussion with the community because the community is closest to the members,” he said. If potential radicals are identified, police will follow usual protocols, which could range from investigations to mental health treatment through the health care system.

Most murders are committed between people who know each other.

Another possibility is inter-Islamic hatred between religious sects. The Sunni's and Shia also hate each other, and cases of this type of thing being perpetrated between the two are not unheard of in the M.E.

I don't know this is true, it is just a possible viable scenario as I am not aware of the extent of the population there that subscribe to Islam.

Sounds like my initial prediction might be correct. If so, it means those fighting over religious dogma in the Islamic faith have taken that fight across the great divide and into the western hemisphere. This would be a game changer if true. It sets up a new front in their inter-sect religious wars.
