California does not want to lose their illegals.
They would lose their Democratic voting base.

So California values foreign nationals more than their legal citizens.

Scroo Cali, we can just continue the wall around that damn state. I will never live there again, they can take their tax franchise board and shove it up Jerry Browns ass.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The thirty states that voted forvTrump would be happy to see California go. Many of them would benefit immediately. 30 +1 ( California) leaves 7 states. New Jersey and Massachusetts may vote yes just for the tech and defense contracts they would likely gain. Deals could be made with 5 more, and BOOM! California is gone

Apparently the California National Guard has 18,000 in the ground component and 6,500 in the air component, the latter including only 21 combat aircraft.

This does, without saying, not compare at all well to the United States Armed Forces.

Good luck with your seditious revolt I guess. It won't last long.

Such treasonous talk is very dangerous and disturbing.

there's some 120K gang members in la.

I'm sure if they emptied out the jails as well they would have a sizeable force to fight with.

Ummm...correction...there's some 120K illegal alien gang members in LA...

Perhaps you and I will get to see how they and their cartel bro's fare in a shoot out with the feds...

could be a win win...

That would be a threat, if the gang bangers could organize.

-Instead, they would shoot each other in the street first 'cause "he looked at me wrong"

How many colleges and universities are there in California?

And you're telling me not one of them has a history program that covers the basics of what happens when one secedes from the union?

I wonder what flag they're going to carry into battle.

Let's say they secede and become their own nation...

Hollywood, the main bread winner?

The cost of watching a movie will skyrocket!

You want some popcorn with those tears?

California is just a fictitious island anyway, nothing there is based on reality.

California produces 99% of all artichokes.
If I were a frugal farmer in the mid-west, I would start growing them.

One of my favorites! Unfortunately most people out East doesn't know what one is or how to cook them. BTW most farmers out mid west grow corn, and soybeans, non of it fit for human consumption, cash crop, heavily subsidized by the government. Maybe Trump will do something about that.

California unfortunately provides over 75% of all produce not including nuts and loonatics in the USA.

They sure do, however the environmentalist are trying to shrink it from all the nitrogen runoff In the fertilizers used.

They need to be very careful. Rebellion can involve military action much faster than simply thumbing your nose at federal law.

Great idea! I was thinking the same today. States should withhold all federal taxes for a while and see how easy things could be if all that money was theirs. Then hey, lets just secede from these idiots and be our own country?

Well, if Trump threatens withdrawing Federal money being sent to the State of California, then there's no reason that the State of California should uphold their money transfers back to Washington.

There are repercussions for Trump's actions, and he hasn't thought ANY of them through.

Post re-construction (civil war) LAW gives the president the authority to federalize a states national guard. This gets around the Posse Comitatus in the Constitution. The federalized nation guard can be ordered to arrest the governor, every legislator, every justice all the way down the chain to the janitors. Any federalized national guard that refuses is charged under the UCMJ and would probably go to federal prison for 20 years if lucky.
