...and when did this clinical examination take place, again? Must have missed it.

Based upon what? Pictures carefully chosen to support his views?

What is his evidence?

All is in question is it not? The article was published today by the date on the article. From the article it is stated that there was no specific examination but that the observations were made by Gartner over a period of time from available information presenting Trumps actions and words over the last year.

And certainly there is interpretation. And certainly we, to a large degree choose what we see and hear according to our own biases, This is a natural thing to do regardless of political leanings.

And yes, by listening to others on this thread, I have found that the headline of the article I read was misleading as apparently Gartner is not a top psychologist at JH but according to his website works there on a part time basis. I would change the headline at this point but have run past the deadline for editing. You as a moderator may do so if you find it necessary. And If you want I will gladly start another thread disclaiming that original headline as I feel at fault for not having looked farther into it before posting.

But the fact remains. Mr. Trump is seen by two major opposing forces. One that he is the desired weapon against the further fall of the US as a viable nation in which good God fearing people can live and thrive as is their human right . The other opinion that he is a raving maniac, and hence the greatest threat to us all.

Both sides seem content to 'prove' their own interpretation of that stalemate yet both sides seem unable to do so as, I said in my first sentence in this reply, " all is in question is it not?

Exactly, it hasn't effected anything yet..

So you mean the dirty game of politics was only dirty on his side? You mean to tell me the 247 demonization and propaganda from the leftist elitist conglomerate was fair? And the continuation of it ramped up to maximum levels after they loss is fair and clean? I hope you can atleast acknowledge this fact.

So in other words you'd rather be lied to unknowingly?

Look everyone knows I'm a dyed in the wool conservative ...

Then should they revoke the license of people like Keith Ablow and others who are frequently in Fox News giving his opinions on the psychological state of people they talk about?

Some of you are acting like this is something new, but we see it all the time on news agencies speculating on people they have never met....

This has been going on for years, but now when it's Trump they should be revoked and destroyed?

Why didn't you speak out about all the other professionals on traditionaly conservative news shows that do this?

So we're advocating ruining people's lives because we don't agree this time? I thought as conservatives we were against that?

So what look how many laws and rules Trump has already broken

"The fish rots from the head down"

Two wrongs do not make a right. We have strict confidentiality laws in this country to protect every citizen, including Trump.

Here is an article addressing this issue put out on the subject and addresses the Goldwater rule.

To be fair I never advocated for his license to be revoked, merely pointing out exactly what you just said. Its all speculation and conjecture at best

I don't advocate for a tit for tat.....nor do I disagree that both sides were vitriolic

But this isn't about other people, this is about the Behavior trump displays and how far it deviates from normal behavior ,even that if other obviously flawed politicians

Aren't you tired of normal not getting anything done?

How would you feel if someone went on the internet and was a psychologist and they said you were a psychopath, giving your name. They have never met you. Now you have two choices, sue for them for slander or sue them and get their license revoked. The psychologist has special rules because of their license, they cannot say things like we say. They can state behavioral patterns in general but should not say someone is a nut.

We, the people without this license, can give an oppinion, we are not bound by professional rules.

They sign a form that says they will comply with the rules or risk loosing their license to do business. I didn't sign a rule like that when I was born. I did sign legal documents to get my builders license and real estate license. I also had a paper to sign with my mechanics license years ago.

Even Workers comp for my employees had rules that I had to side with the insurance company in any disputes with employees getting hurt, even if I saw it happen. I could not back the employee or I assumed all liability.

I read the fine print and I ask questions of the right people.

Because he's talking about trump? I'd hardly call that a flaw. No need to slap me with the word dude.
He has ethics he feels bad about it but it didn't eradicate his years of study or his ability to diagnose now did it. Lol .

Well that's because on top of all of his other flaws he is pretty unlikable.

If he was talking about Obama or Hillary Clinton would you still support his findings? Or is it just because it is Trump?

No need to even answer my question! Your obvious bias and refusal to hear anything factual that offends your cognitive dissonance precedes expecting an honest response.

Like I said psychiatry doesn't need to be hands on. It's an observatory discipline. So he can diagnose him from a video tape if needs be. It's been done many times .

I know the irony is not lost on me. But they were diagnosing physical abnormalities that seriously would require an exam while a psychological diagnoses can be made remotely.
But yes hypocrisy . It's amazing to me. All the talk about sheep and kool aide and yet they march like little zombies chanting his name. I'm blown away by it. I never thought I'd witness anything like this outside a novel or movie.
And I feel bad for them really I do. Sometimes tears come to my eyes when I see what they believe.

The man is 70+ years old and out of shape. I have a feeling he will have a heart attack from all the stress and overtime on twitter. The most recent interview I saw of him he looked really whacked out, one eye going this way one way going that way, I give him a month before he breaks down.

So?.... it won't change the fact that trump is psychotic.
Shooting the messenger doesn't negate the message.
And there were plenty of doctors saying this very same thing for the past year. You can take away all their licenses and lock them up in jail if you like. It still won't change the diagnoses.

Virtually all presidents that have been examined, are classified as unhealthily both mentally and physically. I could go on to say that there has not been a "normal" president.

....probably, the only president that was close to "normal" was shot in a 1961 Lincoln Continental 4-door convertible....

Kennedy was a sex addict who once said that a few days without a woman gave him a headache. Of all the philanderers in the Whitehouse in the last century, Kennedy wins the prize. FDR and Bill Clinton are distant runners-up.
