Looks like the American people DO want to see Trump's taxes despite his insistence that we don't.

300 million people in the nation..........a petition of 300k means the people want what?
.0012 want this.....

So the fact that petition has garnered more signatures than any other petitions and broke the 100,000 signature barrier with 24 hours means nothing to you?

It means the media and social spiel is still in full force...and the liberal petition signers still actually believe in petitions...ever seen one get something done ??

Is it true that Trump still hasn't released control of his company? If so is he maneuvering and making EOs so he can profit? There are many legitimate reasons for him to show his tax returns and there is no reason to simply trust him.

Yes, all Trumps actions are to direct profits to his business interests.

People are upset. Here's an example;

UBC economics professor ticked off about having to talk at Trump Tower

A local economics professor has cried foul after a talk she’d been booked to give to members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada was moved from the Shaughnessy home of a U.S. diplomatic official to the Trump International Hotel and Tower Vancouver.

Matilde Bombardini, an associate professor at the University of B.C.’s Vancouver School of Economics, had been invited by the chamber to speak Thursday about trade relations under a Donald Trump administration.

Then, two days ago, the group switched its planned venue, deciding to instead rent space for $2,500 at the Trump building.
...

The only reason for the switch of this meeting to Trump Hotel was to curry favor with the new President Donald Trump.

By supporting Trump's hotel, (which is not owned by Donald, but he gets license fees from leasing them his name), it boosts Donald Trump's Hotel brand all around the world. Since more an more governments and business meetings will be held in Trumps connected businesses to get the favor of the President.

So, he is "indirectly" selling his influence, padding the pockets of his "business partners", and thus elevating his brand "Trump".

As you can see, it's not a direct payment to Trump himself. It's a payment to people who do business with Trump, and use his name. Thus, the reward Trump gets is not easily quantifiable as being "X dollars" of graft. So, it would be difficult for anybody to put an exact dollar figure on it. How much will Trump be able to raise his license fees by, now that he is driving more business to his partners pockets? That's unknown.

It's all murky, and fuzzy, and entangled, so nobody can straighten it out. And with good lawyers, Trump can always claim he gets nothing, only his friends do.

Petition Demanding Donald Trump Release His Tax Returns Breaks White House Record

A petition on the White House website asking President Donald Trump to release information about his tax returns has now received more signatures than any other petition in the system’s five-year history.

The petition demands that the federal government explain what it is doing to “immediately release Donald Trump’s full tax returns, with all information needed to verify emoluments clause compliance.” It garnered over 100,000 signatures within 24 hours of the president’s inauguration and has become the subject of a New York Times editorial.

“The unprecedented economic conflicts of this administration need to be visible to the American people, including any pertinent documentation which can reveal the foreign influences and financial interests which may put Donald Trump in conflict with the emoluments clause of the Constitution,” states a brief description of the petition.

As of Thursday afternoon, the petition had over 368,000 signatures, surpassing the previous record of 367,180. The previous record-holder called for the United States government to “legally recognize the Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group.”

Looks like the American people DO want to see Trump's taxes despite his insistence that we don't.

Trump has kept in place former President Barack Obama’s online petition system, which was created in 2011 to increase accessibility to government. The site also still states that a petition with at least 100,000 signatures will get an official response.

So ball's in Trump's court. Let's see how he responds. I'm guessing he'll just give us some more "alternative facts" about how seeing them is unnecessary.

I actually don't think he's making all that much. If he was, how come he buys paintings and stuff with money from funds and other sources - he shouldn't need to.

For someone that likes to talk about how much he's got, I find it strange the way he spends money when he actually does.

It's hard to tell a "common millionaire" from a billionaire - once you have enough to keep yourself stocked with suits, a couple of nice cars, a plane that looks like a Victorian tea set, and a gold crapper or two, you can basically phone it in.

He's basically a larger than life, male version of Kim Kardashian. Famous for being famous - he's not the master entrepenur as much as he's selling his "brand". "Trump Outhouse" doesn't mean he even built it.

a reply to: Krazysh0t hey snowflakes its private info that he was not required to hand over just like his health records so get over it! what should have been handed over was the books to his and clinton foundations. but that would never happen because hillary would likely be sent to jail if that happened.

Not sure if it's the law, however conflicts of interest must be declared in any democracy, plus refusing to release the completely contradicts Trump's claims that he wants to be transparent.

Voicing your concerns and opnion is part of a democratic process. Starting a petition to ask the government to look into it, is part of a democratic process.

No, and that's why he hasn't done it. There's zero benefit to him to doing so. He realizes this so he hasn't done it. His supporters realize this so they support him, his opponents realize this and want to see them. I would care less about this issue except for the fact that he has used showing his taxes numerous times as political leverage and then failed to follow through on releasing them. He has promised twice now in just the past couple months to release them, first in November before the election and then in January before he takes office.

At that time he could have said no, but he didn't. He needs to follow through.

Every government employee except the POTUS is required by law to release his / her tax returns. The POTUS is exempt because he or she is da boss.

no one cares unless they are desperate to kick him out of office because theyre sore losers

yes, i dont care i want progress and to move forward. the elections are over HRC lost, trump is president for four years

not gonna sway people to vote against him with this petty BS

I don't understand how it is petty to want to know that the person leading our country, adheres to the same tax policies that all U.S. citizens must adhere to as well. If it's not a big deal, why can't he just release them?

I don't care about ANYONE'S tax returns.

Taxation is theft anyway, so I applaud anyone who finds a legal loophole out of it.

There is no law requiring Trump to release them, so go pound sand.
