Liberal arts, music, art, gym classes in schools is always a topic to be taken away with a Republican President.

That means the Federal contribution to elementary and secondary education is about 8 percent, which includes funds not only from the Department of Education (ED) but also from other Federal agencies, such as the Department of Health and Human Services' Head Start program and the Department of Agriculture's School Lunch program

www2.ed.gov...

Also keep in mind that the ebb and flow of education monies from a state level is largely controlled by that states economy.

I thought about tracing back who were the presidents during those times but it really doesn't matter. You would have to take in the congress, senate, actual bills and laws passed during the time.

I understand that maybe the typical republican voter does not know if this tie. However, there is a lot that the republicans and democrats in office do that we know nothing of, cutting back on liberal arts is tied to a republican administration. It really effects children.

My child will never not know art...we have an art room with all types of paint, easels and all sorts of instruments in my house even though I do not know how to play one.

But a child like me growing up, that one art class made all the difference for me, the hope it gave me was bigger than i imagined.

No need because what your are claiming is not true.

I understand you want to feel superior but the facts kind of prevent that.

They way i work is crazy i know, and with all the fake news out there Im glad I have my system.

I see the big picture, take from the media what cannot be skewed, throw away the rest, surround myself with smart people, have intelligent conversations, research what triggers me, reflect back on personal past experiences, look at the big picture, see the forest, not just the trees and things just seem to align.

I don't think I'm wrong, but if you want to go into the google of fake news and cherry pick an article to prove me right or wrong, go for it.

There is no way i can cite my life lessons on this message board.

Your expediences like mine are anecdotal.

So the smart people you surround yourself with should not believe what you are saying. Not because it isn't true, but because it isn't accurate.

I have the power to purposely surround myself with who i want now that I'm older gut growing up I was around... Teachers, i worked for a whack republican guy who was head of school board and he got calls after calls i had to listen to from teachers and school bus drivers bc he had to make a decision to cut their salary. This whack job should NOT have had control over anyones life.

I compared my life before and after art. My mother was a school teacher and loved being a huge part of children lives, she was also very creative herself but never transferred any of that to me growing up. It was BAD if i wanted to go see a band, it was not allowed to paint my furniture or anything bc she didnt want paint on the floor. For xmas one year i got a Bob Ross paint set!!!! Paint not included. I could never use it.

Anyways, I am really good at reading between the lines. One story that you probably remember is Romney cutting PBS, if you google PBS and Trump now you will find articles about it.

Believe what you want, sorry I cannot cite exact memories and conversations I've had with all he people in my life.

I don't think the students were there at all. If they were then we would hear about it all over Facebook from students and parents.

There's a huge difference between art, and the liberal arts.

Art is well, art, and the liberal arts are trash courses like gender studies, which should be eliminated entirely.

I don't expect people to take me seriously, and hope they do not take me as well as anything else written on the internet seriously.

What she did is, in essence, encourage people to try and assassinate the president, and that's a crime. No free speech defense for this one. Frankly, I hope they toss her hateful rear end in jail, and leave here there for a long time. Certainly, she's got no business teaching kids.

link to video - embedding isn't working....

For any who haven't seen it.

And, I will repeat; this is NOT protected free speech. Calling for the assassination of a president is a crime. Anyone wanting to argue that, state whether you'd defend her if she'd done that with O on the screen, instead of Trump.

I see. You only have a right to free speech when it doesn't criticize republicans. Sounds about right for the hypocrites they are. Get over it I have the right to p*ss all over a picture of the Donald if I want to. This is what I expected from this administration wiping their butt with the US Constitution..

In front of children that your teaching?

How do you know the students were there?

It's a school, how long do you think it would take for word to get around that the art teacher is yelling die and using a squirt gun.

And if not live then they can go to the internet and watch it anywhere.
