Reports of the U.S. Border Patrol Chief resigning.

This coming from an inside source(s) strictly on condition of anonymity.

All this because of Trump's "Wall".

Is this "confirmed" yet?

Border Patrol Chief Out Day After Trump Border Fence Decree

The Border Patrol chief is leaving the agency on the heels of President Donald Trump's announcement of an ambitious plan to build a massive wall at the Mexican border and hire 5,000 Border Patrol agents.

It was not immediately clear whether Mark Morgan resigned or was asked to leave.

Customs and Border Protection said Thursday that Morgan's last official day in office will be Tuesday. But a U.S. official and a former official said Border Patrol agents were told Thursday that Morgan was no longer with the agency.

The U.S. official wasn't authorized to discuss the move before a public announcement and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The former official asked not to be identified before a government announcement.

Or he was just a yes man for Obama and was exposed by those under him. Either way, good to see the shake up. This guys voice could have been a lot stronger/louder when the Border Patrol was told to essentially stand down.

There's always that.

Or he's tired and just ready to get out of the game, if so let some up & comer jump in and take on the task.

I suspect that under Obama he enjoyed not having to do his job and not be held accountable for all the border jumpers.
maybe he got lazy and doesn`t want to start doing his job, or maybe he is an illegal sympathizer and will be expected to produce results with 5,000 new employees and a wall.

I'm all for immigration policy reform, however it must be understood that the border is an imaginary line. It stretches
a total 1,954 miles. Just let that number sink in while you imagine policing that line and the sheer amount of money and manpower we are talking about. Not to mention the whole fact that all non-native Americans are immigrants. Until this fact is admitted it makes the whole "illegals" argument moot.

A wall does not stop the flow of boats on the oceans on either end of that line.
The Mexicans are not the problem in the US. The corporate owners of the country are. The ever greater divide between the rich and the rest of the population, that is the real problem. It is an unsustainable economic model that sends labor offshore and expects there to be enough money in peoples pockets to buy the cheap Chinese crap that they send back. The greed of the corporate oligarchy that Trump is very much a part of is your real enemy. Anyway I digress, -end rant

You nailed it... Also he was the first outsider to run the agency. He came from the FBI internal affairs division and not from the ranks of Border Patrol. He was not liked by the rank and file at all.

Good riddance.
