Heh, not quite the meaning I was intending.

I guess I'll explain myself. This thread is a great example of a bunch of plebes fighting over "their" scraps. There is something broken within the system and it needs to be fixed.

MAGA does not mean "let the byotch die". In fact the plan is to provide health care for all.

Maybe you should reread the OP. The gist wasn't "they won't cover pre-existing conditions" it was "to get them to cover MY pre-existing condition (or, in this case his wife's) would cost ME more money" yet there's zero crap given about the cost of the ACA to everyone who previously had affordable insurance and now must pay out the ass to subsidize a minority of Americans.

The medical coverage woes of anyone not living under my roof and my paycheck IS NOT my responsibility. If that makes me a demon or a swamp mosquito or even a demonic swamp mosquito, bila ne bila, I can live with that.

We are definitely fighting over the wrong things, and it is because we are being manipulated. We are in a grand match cage, and they decide what we fight, who we fight and when.

The country is supposedly 23 plus trillion dollars and debt, children are starving and homeless, people supposedly dying for lack of healthcare, but we are building homes and shelters, and providing free healthcare to illegal aliens, and sending billions of dollars to support citizens of other countries.

Nothing angered me more then when they wanted me to kick a homeless person out of the hospital to return back into the streets. Their excuse was that we discharge patients back to their homes, if they lived in the streets then that is their home. Yet we had illegal aliens living in the hospital as if it where a hotel, because the hospitals were afraid to kick them into the streets or even flying them back to their home countries, at taxpayer expense, for fear of being sued. We had several hospitals with these kind of patients. All of them waiting to see what the outcome of one case would be. See link. Jury Rules for Hospital That Deported Patient Most hospitals still walk on eggshells when sending an illegal alien back to the street, but they don't blink and eye, and will call for a police escort if it is an American citizen they are kicking out.

You are right. Our system is really screwed up and we have only ourselves to blame for it.

oh it isnt that at all. you got me all wrong. i have been living from paycheck to paycheck for most of my life, barely getting by. i am near haveing all my debts paid off but still looking at 2-2.5 years. i really can not afford insurance for myself or qualify for free ins through aca with a 15k deductable that is pretty much worthless. what has me upset is the government or anyone else thinking they have a right to come take what little i have.

I don't feel good about it. I'm apathetic about it. Your wife, is NOT mine or anyone else's responsibility. If she was a relative of mine or you were a friend of mine, then I would contribute what I could afford if you needed help.

I mean, you might as well go to the doctor and say, "hey, you aren't going to treat my wife because we have no insurance? I hope you feel good about yourself".

Expecting others to pay for your responsibilities is the apex of entitlement mentality. You don't have a right to others' services. You don't have a right to others' monies and therefore, you don't have a right to healthcare at the expense of others.

Jaden

Your half right. I should be able to have affordable healthcare. It's laws, corporate greed, greedy politicians that got us into this mess. It will require some political stuff or repealing or making of new laws to get us out of this mess. We all get taxed and our taxes go to all kinds of things...things you don't like and things I don't like. We would agree on some and not on others. So I'm not asking you to subsidize me, I'm just saying that my wife should be able to afford healthcare and laws should be put in place to protect them. It's not entitlement to want to be able to live.

Oh ok, so you're doing what you can to steal food out of MY children's mouths so that your wife is covered... I hope you feel good about yourself...LOL

Jaden

Your children are going to live, my wife might not. There's a big difference. And I'm really not stealing food out of your kids mouths. If you're going with that arguement then go big with it. Target every single thing your taxes and our government pays for. Don't target my wife.

That's not the real problem. The real problem here is you thinking that you're entitled to another person's services... YOU AREN'T. You have to pay the market rate for someone else's services. Any service forced to be performed is tantamount to involuntary servitude, another word for that is slavery.

So you want to enslave the people so that you and your wife and others within the population can enjoy the services of another.

Hope you feel good about yourself.

Jaden

You're missing the point again. The point is that our healthcare system is broken...politicions have been paid by big pharma, big insurance and big healthcare companies to enact laws that favor them. That's what needs to change. Crying about me because I need to use some of that healthcare, that I pay for is the definition of special snowflake. Let that sink in to you for a minute. Both my wife and I pay insurance every month and we pay lot's of taxes every year. You're not paying for nothing, dude.

Owning my own business, I probably pay more taxes than you do, in fact I'm probably subsidizing some of that food your children eat.

The ACA isnt perfect....kinda sucks actually, but my favor goes towards a closer form of socialism for the poor (single payer for under X amount, regular for over)...the opposition I am disgusted at is the kill all forms of ACA, no single, no alternative..if you got pre-existing, sux2bu, etc...

People paycheck to paycheck know the squeeze and thats where help is needed in form of a socialized governmental help (its in national interest to have mid/poor people doing construction and other need jobs..healthy is better than sickly and desperate)

I'm anti-taxation aside from trade tariffs, sales tax, and excise taxes (and those I tolerate through clenched buttcheeks) so you can probably divine my response to your question.

Can you name a single society on earth that you would point to as an example of your desires?

Nope, and now you know why I'm often a pissed off camper... but at least the anger keeps the rage at bay, mostly.
