A new Trump Executive Order is setting guidelines for a weekly report about crimes in sanctuary cities.

The report will come from DHS apparently.

Looks like they mean business.

There's a lot of sanctuary cities all across the country.

Trump orders weekly publication of crimes committed by illegals in sanctuary cities

In order to better inform Americans about the impact illegal aliens are having on crime rates in sanctuary cities, President Donald Trump today ordered the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to publish a weekly list of crimes committed by illegals.

In an executive order titled “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States,” Trump directed Secretary John Kelly to be transparent with citizens.

“To better inform the public regarding the public safety threats associated with sanctuary jurisdictions, the Secretary shall utilize the Declined Detainer Outcome Report or its equivalent and, on a weekly basis, make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens,” the order reads.

Rutland, VT says "the first 2 refugee families from Syria might be the last"

That's all I know of this locally - can't say whether this is good or not yet

You mean we the people get to see what the media has been hiding all this time?

America is winning again, imagine that.

This is information that we should have. News papers print police reports of citizens. Why shouldn't we have access to reports on this.

The more information the better I say.

The last administration, (I can't remember who he was.. O something) was always shielding Americans from this information, probably for our own safety, or maybe for the safety of the illegals, since many of them were voting democrat? Yeah, anyways..

So this being done right now by Trump is much more realistic in the protecting of citizens since it will inform everyone the truth about the things many illegals are doing, and then people will be making a truly informed decision in how they should "feel" about the illegal immigrant situation, rather than being hypnotized into blindly following the media and that former administration which was giving a free pass to illegals for their votes, only to later be given the boot back out by O.

I read a fascinating piece about Donald Trumps son-in-law, Jared Kushner. He is so cutting-edge with thinking ahead, and setting up targeted diversions, it's scary. President Trump follows almost every bit of advice Jared gives him.

I've always felt it disingenuous to compare Trump to Nazis like so many people do, but things like this are making it hard.

Ordering the publication of crimes by a certain group to drum up more support for his ideology?

Seriously?

Let's throw some profiling in there too.

I know of several Canadians here illegally. I'm sure they'll get a pass.

There shouldn't be a lot right? what's the worry? There is only 12 million of them, meaning they should of have the crime rate of a 12 million pop state, they should not be any worse than OHIO's crime stats.
When those stats come out you can bring up Ohio's stats and crap on us.
People given sanctuary should not be commiting any crimes

You are for giving sanctuary to criminals. I see.

This is really a great piece of persuasion, masterful.

We have seen in europe that they have been hiding who has been committing the crimes because the difference between european whites and the refugees is night and day.

I see this causing problems from people reading this and then deciding to act upon themselves do deal with it.

If people are committing crimes that is why we have law enforcement first of all.

News of criminal activity should also be non biased. It shouldn't target certain crimes or certain people like that.

Why not just report about all crimes rather than target certain groups like that???

That's called Bias and is clearly an agenda to focus on only certain targets.

I'm surprised so many people agree with this. Why not focus on Crimes being done by Religious People, or by Race, or how about a section for Crimes done by Poor people or White collar Crimes?? Well, we know we'll never hear about White Collar crimes will we.

It's a bias and you shouldn't support it.

Exactly, there shouldn't be a lot.

And when there isn't a lot, is it more likely Trump will admit the error of his ways or double down on what he's already said, even if its wrong?

I know which one my money is on. This is the path to authoritarianism, and everyone seems to have some type of naive faith that it can't happen because this is America, all the while its happening piece by piece in front of our eyes.

It will be even better if they also start publishing white collar crimes that ruin a lot of families as well.

Goldman Sachs, Trump University, Big Pharma, Casino Moguls who bribes/lobbies Politicians to make billions etc.

You will never see that though. When you're Rich enough you can buy your way out of being a criminal.

In theory you're correct though. It would be great to have honest reporting of White Collar Crimes too. But we'll never see that. Yet if someone gets caught selling lemonaid without a permit you'll hear all about it. Or feeding the homeless without a permit you'll have a week long investigation on it. But some corp kills a thousand people poisoning their water supply. Almost never. Or maybe on the back page somewhere.

so what, they are criminals by the mere fact that they are here illegally if they don`t like reporting of the crimes they commit while being here illegally they can go the hell back where they came from.
They wouldn`t even be here to commit those additional crimes if the sanctuary cities weren`t committing a crime by allowing them to stay here.

so, we have all these crimes being committed but you want law abiding people to feel guilty for bring attention to the crimes and criminals.

you do know you can find any sex offender their picture and their type of crime online on a map right?

demographic stats allow government to better allocate resources. whether its public safety or simply helping citizens make decisions.

If you see people trying to hide data, that is the data you want to see.
The crime stats tell us something is dysfunctional in the black community. White(non-hispanic) crime rates fit in with their european counterparts.
Why would people not want to know why?
