Trump Says He Will 'Send in the Feds' if Chicago Doesn't End 'Carnage'

ReutersU.S. President Donald Trump said on Twitter on Tuesday that he would "send in the Feds" if Chicago doesn't "fix the horrible 'carnage' going on."
In his inauguration speech on Friday, Trump accused the Washington establishment of protecting itself but abandoning regular citizens who have suffered from poverty and crime. "This American carnage stops right here and stops right now," he said.

There's no further substance to this article. I wonder who it is in the Trump Administration that's providing Reuters a heads-up??

There are something like 70,000 gang members in Chicago. I cannot begin to fathom the Federal force that would be required to ferret them out and neutralize them. We're talking elements the size of six or seven US Army Divisions of mercenaries that are well entrenched throughout the city. Where would they put 70K criminals if they caught them?

What would happen if the thugs started scattering across the US like cockroaches?

Finally, backbone in the white house. The democrats have ruined Chicago. They've had years to address the issues and all we're seeing is an ever rising murder rate. About time the Feds go in and handle business.

Amazingly, it also shows how little Obama cares about his home town. Doesn't care if blacks are shooting each other every damn day. He only cares if he can blame whitey for it.

I imagine that there's been plenty of FBI agents and such there all along trying to help out...
so what's he planning on doing declaring a state if emergency and sending in the national guard??
the national guard isn't actually federal though it is?

Underground I would hope, at least the bad ones who's 352632 prior convictions prove there is no chance at rehabilitation.
I do hope Trump does something about it though. I am sure he will.

Talk of 'sending the feds' to a US city when not in the middle of an active disaster, a persistent high crime rate is not an active disaster, is concerning. To say the least.

Detroit has the highest violent crime rate. Chicago comes up on the list at 24. The city I (live right outside of) is at 11, and we don't actually have a lot of crime. A murder of any kind makes big news.
