Geez. Really?
They all smile while the cameras are clicking (Standard Procedure)...when they stop ( after Trump turns away)...back to 'resting face'.

Grow up, Lefties.

Ivanka does the exact same thing during the same exchange.

And if u read my post earlier I said he's clearly an alpha male and it probably exist in some level in their relationship. But to say its abusive is a stretch.

Body language is proven science? So you're saying I can be prosecuted if my body language says I'm lying but in fact I'm a nervous introvert?

Truly' with the other video, it does seem like he was chastising his son. Melania obviously had a moment of realizing that they will have to spend the next 4-8 years trying not to be human...they have to be infallible super family under a microscope!

I looks like he was getting on to Barron for talking and moving around during a speech.

Yeah, why don't we all go with that excuse.

It's acceptable. And gets Trump off the hook.

Or we can just go with your line and take a 5 sec cropped clip of Trump getting on to his kid and scream spousal abuse.

I applaud your effort to act like you actually care for Melania's well being but really you're just looking for an excuse to put Pence in the white house.

As i said: its not the video that leads me to this conclusion.

Its many videos and statements..
this is just one of them.

Exactly. "We'll discuss this when we get home" can have terrifying implications depending on the speaker.

Literally getting on to his son for knocking off during a speech.

As you choose to believe.

Yes, I also saw and read that excuse.

Here's an unedited version.

You know, he may have spoken to her in her native language, in which case, no one else knew what passed between them.

Thanks for finding the unedited version.

Its even more clear now that its absolutely nothing. Even Pence was right there listening and continues to clap.

What's makes it even more obvious is the fact that the joke that everyone is laughing about is about Trump so clearly he knew everyone was watching him at that moment.

Okay but there's sort of a huge difference between him letting her know he didn't approve of something and abusive behavior.

There's a kind way to correct someone and then there's the abusive way.

If he'd been kind she wouldn't have looked like that.

Okay so...not being nice is abuse now?

Seriously?

The camera fails to catch Pence's reaction, if he had one.

Trump so clearly he knew everyone was watching him at that moment.

Looks like Melania clearly knew something too!

Yes, seriously. I, and my siblings and father, were horribly emotionally abused by my mother. I'm very familiar with it.

Probably too much botox. I've never really thought they had any chemistry. It is obvious she is a trophy wife. Wouldn't surprise me if their marriage is on the rocks. Probably would be divorced had he not ran for President. I just hope Trump can keep it in his pants while in office to not create any unnecessary scandals.

And by the way are they not in the middle of a prayer? She could've just came down from that chuckle and went back into prayer mode.

You will be prosecuted as per the written laws, but if the judge and jury misread your body language as in no remorse, the sentencing may be harsher. You have 7 seconds to make an impression.

Ah. So now we're defining "abuse" as whatever we want it to be, up to and including "not being nice enough."

Not to discount your claim, but anecdotal evidence is anecdotal.

Using a comparison I made earlier - you can be mean without being abusive. You can't be abusive without being mean.

So someone else gives their take on it and since it doesn't align with your abuse theory it's an excuse?

Give it a rest already. Your extreme bias is blinding you and making the rest of us nauseated.

When I hear the context the speech this is what I imagine happened.

Earlier in the day:
Melanie: "I want to wear this"
Trump: "I wouldn't, its going to rain, that fabric doesn't do well in the rain"
Melanie: "Fine, but I bet it won't rain
Trump: Ok I bet you it will rain and that the guy will mention it. I bet you "insert sexual deviant act"
Melanie: "Fine but if I win you get me that big diamond necklance I want"
Trump: "You got a deal"

*starts to rain
Pastor guy mentions it

*Trump turns around, with that i told you so face
*melanie smiles for camera; once the exchange is over her real mood about her bet comes on display, her face says "tonight is going to suck"

Notice the people around them also smiling, Ivanka, Pence also seem to be in on whatever inside joke it is.
Really watch Ivanka's face, she smiles leans over and raises her eyebrows.

No sorry I think this one is pretty done and dusted: Melania stopped smiling at one point so clearly she's a domestic abuse victim, and any one of the other million possible reasons she stopped smiling is just a right-wing excuse to cover for an abuser.
