For years, I've heard nothing but negative things about the U.N.. What would the actual results of our withdrawal be? Does the USA spend a lot of our tax-dollars there?

We provide most of the budget, more than our share for sure and for what to be voted against.

Its as useful as the League of Nations.

Maybe you're thinking of one of the other withdrawals? The USA is wisely pulling out of a lot of wasteful and/or useless endeavors and clubs.

Thanks for the quick response! So the U.N. is nothing more than an international club for jet-setting world leaders who want to show off how important they are. GOOD-BYE I say!

Okay. I thought it was making strides forward in Congress.

One thing for sure ... It's got a lot of attention. People were buzzing about it (and other sweeping reforms and changes coming down the pike) at work ALL day.

I have been arguing it for years!

I mean years, I had a thread from the late 90's but I can no longer find it. 13 years ago here I wanted it gone.

I just hope it happens and we get to Kick it out and demo the buildings. It is a stain on the skyline.

The UN is supposed to be paying the US for allowing them the space to further their perverted goals. At their inceptopn , taking over for the League of Nations , no other country would house that illustrious group of idiots and misfits.

Their very start was creating the Israel/Palestinian mess . It only got worse from there. Every single bit of charity work they have ever done has came under investigation for fraud and embezzlement

Anything else I can help you with ?

What would the actual results of our withdrawal be?

The first step toward true world peace ?

Good post, the UN is nothing more than a Globalist tool to redistribute the wealth of the developed western nations and advance the cause of Socialism. I find it hypocritical and telling that while professing support for LGBT issues they overlook the human rights abuses of the entire Muslim membership. The UN has promoted abortion, advocated the repeal of the U.S. Constitution and the disarming of the U.S. population which is a sure sign of their evil intentions and totalitarian nature. I vote withdraw!

the U.S gives almost 30% of all peace keeping operations.
plus all the other

The approved budget for UN Peacekeeping operations for the fiscal year 1 July 2016-30 June 2017 is $7.87 billion. (A/C.5/70/24) PDF Document.
1.United States (28.57%)
2.China (10.29%)
3.Japan (9.68%)
4.Germany (6.39%)
5.France (6.31%)
6.United Kingdom (5.80%)
7.Russian Federation (4.01%)
8.Italy (3.75%)
9.Canada (2.92%)
10.Spain (2.44%)
Financing peacekeeping

and that not all a old report.

He asked Ambassador Rice if it’s correct that the U.S. yearly contribution to the U.N. is $6.3 billion. As it happens, that was not a random number. Last June, the Obama administration sent a required report to Congress on U.S. funding for the U.N., covering fiscal year 2009. This report listed total U.S. contributions to the U.N., dispensed not only via the State Department, but via 18 other U.S. departments and agencies, ranging from the Department of Agriculture, to NASA, to the Peace Corps, Postal Service and Treasury. The grand total came to a hefty $6.3 billion. Or, to be more precise, $6,347,415,000.
Magic With U.S. Money for the United Nations

all the UN does is fleece the rich countries of their money.

I am shocked!

The list is long.....Reagan cut their funding, Gingrich wanted them out, the Globalists have to go first.....

Belonging to the UN is not that big of a problem. I don't think we would need to get out of there. I do not know if it has become corrupt though. I haven't payed much attention to what they are doing nowadays.

I do however like the idea of starting over in some respects but I do NOT want the organization here in the US.

As for the UN....I would by executive order not pay them one more cent.....Give them 90 days to vacate...

the rest takes care of itself.
