There will be people claiming that Trump had other things to do, that becoming President is a hefty business, and surely it is.

However, one would have to question then, why this matter was not resolved a year ago, so that there would be no overlap, a nice clear line between Trump the tycoon businessman, and Trump the "statesman".

My thoughts as well. I doubt he ever really intended to divest himself. I believe it was just another example of Trumpspeak.
