It seems that most use superficial claims to try and assert their will over others, but is a financial line superficial? Excellent point.

You are more than welcome. I kind of like this type of dialog.

Would you have any idea's on how to improve upon the Constitution? Or do you believe that it is as good as it is going to get?

I would never be so arrogant as to presume that I know better to rewrite such a document.

The division occurs because of democracy.

You got politicians that live of making campaigns and winning elections, if you agree with your rival how can you campaign, why would someone replace him with you if you are not better than him.

As being better than the rest is actually hard you focus on how bad the other is, at some point this gets so bad that you sabotage the other turn at power so you get better odds of winning.

winning is all, it does not matter if you kill the country in the process.

Now I can definitely personally understand that. Do you believe that anyone else might be able to?

I believe that is a core truth that faces any country in the world.

No.

I can't say that there is anyone that I would trust to "edit" such a document.

No political party, no politician, in my mind, has the sincerity, the honesty, the "gravitas" to go anywhere near it.

I cannot disagree with you thought process, but people did get together and came up with that very same document. Do you believe the reason for you not trusting anyone today is because of lack of intelligence or just lack of morality.

I'd say lack for judgment, lack of foresight.

Too many have agendas. Too many "owe" special interests.

Altruistic people are so hard to find that Diogenes would just say, "F### it" and go home.

We're entering a new era, sadly.

Honesty and integrity are no longer looked upon as values to uphold.

Winston Churchill once said that America has the worst form of government, until you compare it to the rest of the world.

The Constitution is a very effective document.

But like anything else, it all depends on how it is utilized.

You can give the latest power tools and lumber to monkeys. They still won't build a house.

Our society has grown dumber. We have vast knowledge at our fingertips but we don't have the wisdom to use it correctly.

So many feel the way you do. Maybe it is the whole faith in humanity issue that keeps getting raised. I would like to think that there are some out there that still hold those values. Maybe they have just become words to idolize and not live by.

Values have been replaced by emoji's, hashtag feel-good statements, and Twitter followers.

Aww. Now we are getting to meat of the subject. Wisdom. With all the wars going on at the same time on this earth, wisdom does seem to be hiding in the shadows.

The problem is that people confuse wisdom with knowledge.

I've spent a large portion of my life working for the government. I know how they think (or don't think).

I've also spent quite a few years immersed in academia.

I know how they don't think as well.
