I love to watch documentaries, and if I find something the folks on ATS may be interested in, I will post them up, here's a documentary on the Apollo 13 mission that I haven't seen before... it combines audio video of the control center, news reports from the time and some revelations from the crew.. It's also interesting to see how folks dressed back in the day, the computer equipment and other things that were considered "cutting edge"... AKA 1970...

White Shirts, Ties Horn rimmed glasses, though you can see the emergence of doubleknit polyester if you pay attention

Technically, failure is not an option. It is a result. The result of choosing the wrong option.

So if you are driving a car and you fail to reach your destination because a bird crashed on your windshield and did several damage you choose wrong?

Depends on what you did after the bird hit your windshield.

My neck was broken due the act of god so I could not do a thing, which is still a legal defense so i fail to see how failure is your choose in all the cases.

I don't believe in God. What did you do when the bird hit your windshield?

In aviation (and space travel) it is a rarity for any single occurrence (much less an "act of God") to result in catastrophe.

So why is it a legal term?

Because god believe in you???

You ask when you should provide answers, if you got an insurance that does not cover act of god you wont collect no matter how much you say "i don't believe in it" and your house get tornadoed or something godish

I think "unavoidable" would be equivalent. In every regard.

Again, what did you do after the bird hit your windshield? Nothing? Don't remember? It doesn't matter what you say now if your insurance company said it was an act of God. Unless of course, God hates you and made that bird fly into your windshield. In which case, you're in big trouble still.

"Strike" implies immediacy.
