I am not for the trump…! I hate the bugger.

But the usage of the word ! ” Populism is a political style of action that mobilizes a large alienated element of population against a government seen as controlled by an out-of-touch closed elite that acts on behalf of its own interests.”

How bad that it can be??? Everyone act on behalf of their interest.

You guys shouldn’t invite the devil..when you do, then there is no place for complaint. Trump is Dajjal...!

How does knowing who is in your country bad for the big pop of Catholics?

How is protecting boarders bad for Catholics?

How is building a wall/fence/personnel to keep illegal aliens out bad for Catholics?

Why would the pope be against the lawful monitoring of immigration?

What are you talking about?

The pope was critical of Trump/wall. It's good for his city, but not for the US.

Or the help Pius XII provided to escaping Nazi's via the Rat Line, and other modes of escape.

Some folks seem bound and determined to put a Nazi spin on Trump... Rather sad.

no, he said that is parallel to how hitler started and people should be careful so it does not escalates any further, but interpret as you like, that's what you do

This Hitler/nazi business is more fear mongering and libel from TPTB. They are crapping their collective pants because they know Trump isn't scared of the oligarchy, and big change is coming.

I'm sure these globalists would love to start another world war with Trump to "protect their interest". But really the Pope should know better than to sleight Trump. Francis knows very well who's got his back.

I'm looking at you Francis....

Well history has a habit of repeating itself. Though on the whole Trump thing, he is a bit of a narcissistic personality coupled with at always right and its the Trump way or the highway, and he likes and thinks to much of himself, but hey so do all billionaires who were raised always being in the right, and who like attention.

But on the other side of that Hillary is a compulsive liar with a touch of power hungry and a bit of the megalomaniac who got people killed because she wanted to hide little dirty secrets which by the way are anything but secret. So, really between the two? Trump is what this country needs by a landslide. I am sure there were other people that ran, but lets face it, 2 candid candidates is about the number most people can remember to keep track of. I mean sure there are likely thousands of other possible way better candidates, but hey politics is not what is best or even what works, its about the old and the new tirade of power structures. And changing things just enough so that the people quite down, but not enough that power, wealth, and money actually change.

There is a reason why in the old days change usually came on by brutal ways. Simply because even the best and well intentioned eventually ended up Tyrants, and in time they were deposed by brave individuals and groups. And in more time they to ended up just being a different type of Tyrants. And so another group rose up, and they to eventually became what they fought against.

In some places like ancient Greece and Rome it was a few year affair that the changing of the guard was always pretty much a bloody affair, even though not much else changed. Its what made people like Plato or Socrates or Lycurgus to invent the systems and philosophies they did, both democracy and republics are a direct product of those for above mentioned facts. After all power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

And so on it went for practically all of human history. To today's time, with our more sophisticated methods of politicking and such. And Trump is as good as any, in fact better then most. And maybe just maybe, somebody who likes to listen to himself in who's world everything is perfect and wonderful, even if he has a touch of the megalomania. Well maybe that's just what the country needs right now, at least given all the variables involved. But boy oh boy can that change at the drop of a dime if certain things and variables are introduced. But i dont see that happening with Trump, in time however in some capacity by other means it is likely to happen, but not for some time, at least all of us will be old and dead by them. So it is a none issue.

At the very least you can count on Trump to always speak his mind, and to always doggedly fight for what he believes in, even though some of what he believes is false or just a creative way of self interest. But hey! Is that not what all of Washington and this politicking and all his predecessors were about? So really it could be asked is who hasent used the trappings of power and prestige for there own interests. All Washington DC is but a den of self interests colliding to be heard and the most important.

And lets face it. There are no actual real actual world ending or changing issues. The only real issue is, just get on with it already. In America especially seems that they have to create issues to solve, just to have something to do and spend big truck loads of money on. Seems like a waste of resources, and money, but hey there it is. The last 20 years has been solving problems which were created because? Well money and resources had to go somewhere as there was just so much of it.

He is a dam good representative of a great sum of many people right now, as you can see, he represents a great majority of people both male and female to a tee. And even going by this site alone, there sure a great many people who like to listen to themselves, in fact some have been waiting and whining for practically 8 years just to see Obama gone. When he first got elected it was none stop for months to years, when he got reelected it was none stop for months to years. Now some people just need to get a life. And how is it that they got this much time to waste on nothing?

As you can see no real issues ensue. If there was any, most of them definitely they would have no time to write on ATS of all places. If there was any actual real issues out there. Sometimes I come on here and its just whole swaths of entitled brats going on and on, about how the red team stole the trikey from the blue team. Its like a constant abattoir full of retarded children all clamoring and screaming at the same time. Oh I want this, whaaaaa. In fact in some instances I think we could use a nuclear war and ensuing nuclear winter, just to clear the landscape.

And well the world still has not ended and America has not fallen, in fact if you remove the constant hype. Not much has changed, even though Obama was president for 8 years like so many predicted we would be Islamist's and commies by now. In fact practically nothing has changed. Which is why so many irked against Obama, but now that Trump is president, things are likely to change. If they be good or bad? We shall see right?

I don't know why people make a big deal out of this. If one thing happened one way, it is almost likely that the next time around, it will not happen like you expect it. Its the unexpected that always gets you. Trump is expected, and now that he is president, and has promised so much?

Well lets give him the benefit of the doubt, and see what happens. And in four years from now, he could be the best thing ever since sliced bread, and life up to all his promises and more, so much so that he will get a statue next to o'l honest Abe. Or he could just be another paper president, and all talk and be nothing but hot air and self promotion and entitlement and getting on those connections to build expensive skyscrapers in other parts of the world using presidential influence.

In fact it is also possible that in four years from now he could make Obama look like a greatest president ever.

We shall see right? Only time will tell. And the pope like everybody else is entitled to his opinions. But if he is waiting for another Hitler or the anti Christ and the next big world war? In time that is likely to happen on a long enouph timeline given the mainframes and inabilities of humans, but not anything like that in the next 10 to 20 years. What will happen is just more of the same, proxy wars, profits, globalization and all that, and the same old same old, with or without Trump that show will go on.

Hitler was a failed art student who self-identified as a Socialist, he blamed his failures as an artist on the Jewish instructor and he hated the upper class. His Sturmabteilung (Brown Shirts) would use violence and hate speak to disrupt opposition rallies.

History is definitely repeating itself.. The big question is WHO is the next Hitler going to be. If history gives us clues it's not Trump.

Pope needs a new history encyclopedia.

Soros has his hands in these riots and protests too. Which isn't surprising, he was a SS officer. Perhaps the 4th Reich looks nothing like the 3rd.

On the subject of Pope Francis..

As a 27 year old male.. who was born and raised catholic.. but un-practicing..

I really dig the guy.

He is super liberal as far as the Catholic Church is concerned. My family is conservative (unlike me) and I enjoy rubbing the popes stances on homosexuality, the Republican party, and certain aspects of abortion In their faces as his views sharply contradict the Catholic narrative of the last few hundred years.

Pope Francis is making me want to become a practicing Catholic again

Deformed identity? How about he mention the deformed identity that cultural Marxism has given us? The very reason for this populism in the first place?

Worthless socialist shill pope.. This pope is too damn predictable, he's always supporting the agenda.. I hope he gets shot. Since when should anyone listen to the Vatican in the first place anyway? They have zero credibility.

Seems like most are very calm, you do know what the word triggered means?

I do think it odd that the Pope is basically comparing Hitler to Trump. Very odd.

Not odd at all. The similarities are striking and frightening. It's worriesom that people don't see that.
History repeating itself as usual.

This indeed is the most worriesome fact. People are just not willing to be open and wary off learning from history. This is not to say that history necessarily will repeat itself. But be cautious at least

Yes, rubbing peoples faces in doo is what we do to people who have different opinions than our own right? Sounds like you are a real accepting person.

I really don't see where the Pope's comments fit in. Is there a reason for back handedly calling Trump Hitler?

Did the election of Trump throw some grand plan of the Vatican that is now trashed?

The vatican and it's various mechinizations
Have been vying to become the one world religion and the spiritual arm of the globalist new world order for Very long time...

Is it any wonder the pope would make such a statement against trumps agenda of a populist union?

Respectfully,
~meathead

ETA the root of the word catholic means "the whole" or more colloquially "universal"

So we have the Roman universal church.

I don't think you understood what I was saying

Yes.. rub their faces in it..

Because they have ways used the Catholic Church (since we are a rampant Catholic family) as the basis for their conservative viewpoints and agenda. The fact that the Vatican is turning liberal strengthens my argument.
