Theyre comparing him to the last president... Its not some crazy math the media is coming up with here.

Its simple logic.

If one will compare, one should compare to the most recent...IE the last inauguration.

It's Saturday dude.
You really need to think these comments through.

It's Saturday...so? I'm at work. Have bills to pay because my insurance doesn't cover like it used to (had a baby last year).

Student loans won't pay themselves and I'd like to buy an engagement ring so I'm at work. That's how it works.

I like to think that I think most of my contributions here on ATS through.

The crowd passed the Washington memorial for Obama.
I've been there many times. The Washington memorial is a mile away from the capitol building.

Butthurt trump just can't stand it.
He proclaimed he was going to have the biggest crowd ever. He has one of the smallest and lies about it.

What if the most recent is a monumental event of being the first black president? Don't really care one way or another, it would be hard for Trump to do as badly as Obama has these last 8 years, so his crowds didn't do him much good, now did it.

The MSM is firmly responsible for the riots and protests against Trump because they continuously, recklessly LIED about Trump throughout this campaign.
a reply to: BlueAjah

He didn't need any help from the MSM. Trump did a pretty good job on his own lying during the campaign. His ignorance caught on video angered a lot of people. Videos don't lie, and I didn't see where the MSM was doing voice-overs and splicing video clips. A lot of his rude and ignorant comments during the campaign was backed up by those in attendance. What amazes me is there are so many documented videos and recordings of Trump blatantly lying, yet Trump worshipers fail to even acknowledge it! I'm all for keeping the MSM honest, but he benefited more from daily MSM coverage than any other candidate running! To blame the MSM every time Trump puts his foot in his mouth is nothing but ignorance.

I have more respect for Trump supporters who acknowledge the clear reality he's thinned skinned, a whiner, and a liar, yet still like his stance on the issues. The guy has some major ego issues. If you can't be honest with yourself and recognize blatant character flaws when it's staring you in the face, than you're in denial.

Wrong. The media have driven a storyline that Trump had a very small crowd. He did not. He had a large crowd, just not as large as Obama in 2017. If they had said that then fine, but the messaging was wholly negative with headlines of "Was it something I said?", etc. I understand it is silly to say the crowds were bigger than Obama's in 2009, but it is equally as silly to pretend the media were running a simple comparison to last time and no more.

Trump's crowd was large, just not the largest. That's not much of a story though, is it...

I don't disagree that Obama's 2009 crowd was larger, but the truth is that Trump's crowd was also large in comparison to previous events. He may well be butt hurt that it was not as large as Obama's in 2009, it seems like it bothers him.

Unfortunate for you you have to work weekends.
I owned a store for twenty years . I never got a day off.
But most people do have weekends off so telling them to get a job is just unwarranted.
Why do you think they don't have one?

You're the one who brought up that it's Saturday, you tell me.

You going to get around to the point of informing me of what is being protested?

I wonder if we'll get a chastising from the president every night. yay.

Obama's crowd was clearly larger. he looks foolish saying otherwise.

No need to be dramatic.

If he only does half as good as Obama that will be 1000% more than I expect from him at this moment.
Obama's is amongst the most successful presidencies.

Trump is under FBI investigation. Already an inauspicious start.

That press briefing was awesome.

Spicer showed the press how this is going to go. This administration is changing how things work.

FIrst, he corrected the press for false information they put out.
Good.
The press is now going to be held accountable.

Then he gave a few updates regarding recent developments.

He stressed that Trump is going to be going straight to the people with news.

Then he took no questions.

The MSM is no longer going to be free to make up whatever they want to control what people think.
At least not without being called out for it.

This is going to be a GREAT 4 - 8 years.

BlueAjah, I've learned to scroll down the page and find YOUR post, before spending time on any particular thread. Thank-you for explaining the content of the first Trump Administration Press Conference! Sounded very good for the first one.

I now see that CBS is criticizing Sean Spicer.
Source: www.msn.com...

This means the Trump administration is off to a great start! Thanks again.
