First off , I have no hate for the brother, but he is a corporatist , he is well spoken, dignified , carries himself well and a local hero in his neck of the woods to boot.. I think he rescued a neighbor from a fire or something to that effect, but recently the establishment " DNC" have been pushing Cory..Cory..Cory !! instead of Burnie Burnie Burnie as if he would be Barack 2.0 , I reject that !! as much as I respect Obama as a person, I have lots of issues with some of his polices both foreign and domestic. and No!!...I am not a hater who unlike some would wanna paint Barack as failure..the Dem establishment if they continue down this path is really gonna crash and burn as they would have learnt nothing as to the reason why they lost to Donald Trump , a ridiculously easy to beat person if the right candidate had been given.

We don't need another establishment Dem, Keith Ellison is fine...lets roll.

I heard Booker today... He is an idiot.
Another totally dishonest politician.

Good news for Republicans, bad news for Democrats. Cory Booker is just Hillary Clinton all over again. If Booker gets the nom, you can safely place all your bets on a second term Trump Presidency.

The left wing wants radical change towards a populist like Bernie Sanders. They are done with corporatism. But the democratic party keeps trying to run Goldmann-Sachs for president.

I pretty much agree with everything you said.

Booker seems a bit green. He'll probably end up being a career U.S. Senator.

I was hoping Trump would reach across party lines and tap Michael Nutter (former Philadelphia Mayor) for a position either in Education, or something to do with urban youth. Nutter had above-average success with a few of his program initiatives dealing with urban crime as it relates to youth, high school graduation rates, and college enrollment rates for high school graduates.

Agreed. Everything I've heard from Booker's mouth stinks of a reinvented Hillary Clinton, just repackaged to be more digestible.
I can easily see him rising in 2019 with the DNC behind him and trying to sprinkle some Bernie Sanders on him.

But 100 percent establishment.

I think the problem with the Dems is that they have abandoned liberal principles. I'm not sure Cory Booker has those principles in mind. Either way he said he was not going to run for president.

I still don't understand why the left holds Bernie on such a high pedestal. He is an open socialist. How's that working out for Venezuela, Brazil, North Korea?

Because we have nations like Denmark in mind.

The problem with the Dems is that they have very few liberal principles. They moved too far to the Right and abandoned that which made their party strong in past years.

He is a liar, so what he says he will do is not to be taken with any confidence.
His testimony in the Jeff Sessions hearing is enough to tell the world that he says whatever he needs to in order to get what he wants in the moment.

Agreed you can't be Republican lite and expect to win , your base will sit on their hands, what's considered radical left today was centrist yesterday, the Republicans keep pushing the ball further right and they keep following them, but make no mistake they were always dirty money and corruption in the Dem party but at least they gave a little bow to the common man.

Any former mayor of Newark is not someone I would cast my vote for. I've been to Newark, that place is a dump, one of the worst places in the U.S, and it's not getting any better.

The problem with the Dems is that they have moved too far away from the center and the working man/woman whom they used to represent. Most people are centrists at heart with a little left or right slant. The further a party moves from the center, the less chance of crossover votes it can get from those who are unhappy with some of their party's platform or a VP candidate [think Palin.]
Had the Dems run a ticket like Biden-Warren, they would have easily won. Bernie, too far left to win, was cheated out of the nomination by lying Hillary and her DNC weasel Wasserman-Schultz. Hilly couldn't win even with that other waste of space, Brazile, providing her the Presidential debate questions in advance. Then, there was Lynch's tarmac meeting with Bill that she described as just a chat. Four days later it was announced that she would be the AG in a Clinton administration right after she made a statement about prosecution and Comey came up with the "intent" BS. If it looks like collusion, it is.
Dems, get rid of Podesta, Brazile, Wasserman-Schultz, Symone Sanders, and the top two layers of administration. No Clinton or their cohorts should be permitted anywhere near the organization. Stop calling everyone who disagrees with you a racist, xenophobe, or a Nazi or at least look up the definitions so you get it right.

Michelle Obama would be a better choice than Cory Booker. If she doesn't start performing illegal activities, like Hillary did, this former First Lady should win the Presidency.

As a north Jersey resident and friends with some Newark and Essex County cops the stories they relate make it clear he is another typical corrupt scumbag New Jersey politician.

While that may be true, we need no more Clintons, Bushes, or Obamas. No more dynasties.
