New Catholic Bishops Told They Don’t Have to Report Sexual Abuse to Police

By Lucy Westcott On 2/11/16 at 10:11 AM

During a presentation for newly appointed bishops, French Monsignor Tony Anatrella said they don’t have a duty to report abuse because it should be the responsibility of victims and their families to go to the police. The comments were first reported by John L. Allen at the Catholic news site Cruxnow.com earlier this week.

Anatrella, a psychtherapist and consultant to the Pontifical Council for the Family and the Pontifical Council for Health Care Workers, is known for his controversial views on homosexuality, including that the acceptance of homosexuality in the West is creating “serious problems” for children. He also helped to write a training document for newly appointed bishops that further spells out the church’s stance on clerical sexual abuse.

This policy relates to the current Pope.

So if you have a child attending a Catholic School and they are being sexually abused by a Priest related to that school.

The only hope you have of finding out is if you child decides to tell you as the staff will not. The current Vatican current policy is that such an act, violates the policies of the elite in respect.

So realistically speaking not a valid recourse for Science and Technology and otherwise rather disgusting.

This is quite interesting, Yes I have heard a lot about Ray Rogers who was one of the first researchers in accurately detect the so many inconsistences that the data produced in 1988 exhibited, he did a tremendous nice work in to also explore the reasons of the evident bias that was in behind such incredible abnormal variance in between dates.

By the way It is a pleasure for me to announce that Dr Giulio Fanti has been honored with Fides et Scientia Vizenzo de Colibus award in its IV edition for his tenacious and admirable work on exploring the problem of to date ancient objects overcoming the well known limitations that the C14 has while dealing with highly contaminated samples, as it is the case of the Shroud ones and also developing New Not Destructive reliable alternative techniques.

Here the Press News about this so important recognition granted to him just in 2016 and for his team in the Industrial Engineering Department
of the University of Padua, Italy,

Please check
www.youtube.com...

Again Congratulations for the Team of Padua, Emilia and Bologna Universities that have performed this transcendental discovery!!.

It is exciting to see that we are arriving to the 10th page of this so interesting thread on the New dating of the Shroud of Turin.

Thanks,

That is another really fine documentary that is a good source of information to lecture about what has be the exciting evolution of facts in the last 30 years around this unique archaeological object, the Shroud of Turin or Sindone, the burial cloth of Jesus Christ.

Dr Gulio Fanti: Professor Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Industrial Eng. Dept, University of Padua, Italy.

We got the following dates:

According with FTIR = 300 BC + 400 years;
with Raman spectroscopy = 200 BC + 500 years;
and multi-parametric mechanical = 400 AD + 400 years.

This means that we have an average dating of 33 BC + 250 years

Here another report of news about the award Fides et Scientia Vicenzo de Colibus 2016, one of the most desired recognitions for researchers and scientists in Italy, that shows Dr Giulio Fanti and his colleagues are in clear path for possible a Nobel of Chemistry for this so important Not destructive dating tests they have refined since 2013.

Please check:

Thanks again for your replies, they are highly refreshing for all the serious readers that are following with interest this thread.

this is your post on Page 1

Excuse me but your post is clearly off topic, here we are not interested in to check the matching of the object with the scriptures,

So lets not use the scriptures...what proof do you have, that outside of scripture, Jesus Christ existed or that this is his burial shroud?

Yes Dear sad_eyed_lady,

Well I certainly know the BBC documentary and the journalist that host it, but is so substantial that I even recommend to check it again for the serious readers that are following us in the thread, it give a good idea of how serious are the New findings.

What Historic sequence of events the one we have witnessed along this last 7 years!

Since the time Riani-Fanti-Adkinson-Crosilla were able to expose through robust regression analysis the the abnormal heterogeneity in the data of the 1988 C14 , skewed in a way that only contamination of samples could explain satisfactorily, to now that we have already certainty about an actual scientific dating of it.

Please check:

www.lse.ac.uk...

We are definitively a privileged generation to have reached the technological advance that allow us to see backward with confidence toward two thousand years at the beginning of the Historic facts that opened our era.

Thanks

Catholic Church sex abuse cases by country

This page documents Roman Catholic sex abuse cases by country. The Catholic sexual abuse scandal in Europe has been documented by cases in several dioceses in European nations. Investigation and widespread reporting were conducted in the early 21st century related to dioceses in the United States of America; several American dioceses were bankrupted by settlement of civil lawsuits from victims. A significant number of cases have also been reported in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.[1]

In 2001, lawsuits were filed in the United States and Ireland, alleging that some priests had sexually abused minors and that their superiors had conspired to conceal and otherwise abet their criminal misconduct.[2] In 2004, the John Jay report tabulated a total of 4,392 priests and deacons in the U.S. against whom allegations of sexual abuse had been made. The numbers of reported abuse allegations and court cases has increased worldwide since then.

The U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) has asked for detailed information on the full extent of child abuse worldwide by priests, monks and nuns. It has also asked how the Vatican prevents abusers from contacting additional children and how the Vatican ensures that known crimes against children are reported to the police. In the past there were issues over the Church hierarchy failing to report abuse to law enforcement and allowing abusers further contact with children. 1 November 2013 was set as a deadline for receiving the information.[3]

Conclusion: Due to the heterogeneity of the data and the evidence of a strong linear trend the twelve measurements of the age of the TS cannot be considered as repeated measurements of a single unknown quantity. The statement of Damon, Donahue, Gore, and eighteen others (1989) that “The results provide conclusive evidence that the linen of the Shroud of Turin is "medieval” needs to be reconsidered in the light of the evidence produced by our use of robust statistical techniques.

Dear sad_eyed_lady

Interestingly the team that produce this seminal paper about the heterogeneity of the data that was obtained from the sample of 1988, has given clear recommendations since 2010 about how a correct sampling can be done if there is a decision to perform more tests.

This is extremely important since it shows that is absolutely false the claim that No reliable ulterior tests with better technology could be done from this same historic object.

There has not been any closure of possible additional dating tests at future, and that is what we are seeing now with this 2013 New dating of the Shroud, that confirm the findings of 2010. What certainly exist is considerations about to don't mutilate more in a significant way one of the most valuable archaeologic objects of History.

Until less intrusive methods of age assessment are developed, samples
will presumably be confined to the edges of the TS. However, the preceding
discussion does provide guidance on a suitable design. If n samples are to
be taken, the perimeter of the material should be divided in to n intervals
of as equal size as possible. Locations are then selected at random within
each interval, preferably subject to a restriction on the minimum distance
between samples. The intervals might also be chosen to exclude corners of
the material, if it is thought that contamination of these regions is more
likely.

Yeah biased sites.

One really strange this about this is that in general and when it comes to Prophets. A point is that in relation to such a status humans emitting photons without a chemical accelerant seems important.

Right so the point being, in relation to the TS is that Jesus Christ when in recovery after death emitted photons to a extent he created the Shroud of Turin.

Forget the actual Biblical description of how Jesus of Nazareth was said to be buried.

Because of the TS.

The peace of God to all that belong to the Light
Dear Readers,

There are many grave incidents in the history of the Shroud that were so close to destroy it and left back damages that are still visible on it, as well have altered the chemical composition in the cloth.

It is widely reported in the literature of the Shroud the three fires it has survived, two of them in its time in France and one more in Turin.

Nevertheless these accidental fires were not the only events of this kind happened to it, there were intentional incidents performed to try to test even the divine protection over it

Inspired by the writings of Count Antoine de LaLaing , who noted back in 1503 that the Shroud was boiled in oil and tested by fire, and by de Chifflet (1624) and the Venerable Bede, both of whom described the same ordeal by fire ordered by the 4th Caliph Muawiyah in 675 , two scientist decided to model the effect of them, simulating the historical background as closely as possible:

They actually chose to duplicate the Chambery fire of 1532 in which the Shroud was damaged and to test the idea that the Shroud was boiled in oil using samples of similar objects, they confirmed that a considerable bias in the dating of C14 occurs as a consequence.

Here are the paper of Moroni and Van Heist about those results:
