February 3rd has not been a good date for Rock and Roll.

The date is mysteriously connected to tragic incidents surrounding Ritchie Valens/Buddy Holly, Del Shannon, and Phil Specter, to name a few. With February 3rd fast approaching, keep your eyes on the entertainment news next Thursday.

Interesting how the number 3 and the number 8 look so similar. I guess I must have seen 3 instead of 8.

Anyway, another Rock-and-Roller dies. Here's the story/link:

SAN FRANCISCO - Keith Knudsen, the longtime Doobie Brothers drummer who was part of the band during a string of hits that included “Taking it to the Streets” and “Black Water,” died of pneumonia Tuesday. He was 56.

The Doobies were very prolific with many many excellent tunes. Black Water is timeless. Sorry to see you go Keith.
