...and the one vote against him wasn't really against him, as much as it was against the waver allowing him to become SecDef.

I can empathize with many who are afraid of all the brass, walking in.
They'll find the world will function a tad better.

Gen Mattis is a great appointment the guy just oozes with knowledge in the role his selected I'm very impressed

Tillerson is also going to kick arse

As for the rest I don't really care, military and business is where the US really need to focus all else will ride of the back of success in these areas

I got to throw education in there... if we're going to rebuild our economy, we need people who don't walk off cliffs playing Pokemon Go.

Unfortunately, Betsy DeVos is my biggest concern over his cabinet picks so far. That's sad, too, since another pick is Rick Perry.

Mattis, Carson, and Sessions all are perfect choices!

Prove what?

Whatever your brain comes up with

[wo/] ... [/wo] (maybe we can macro just a '/k' for Keanu's Kondensed Kuotes)

And that jack-o-lantern is going to make your hero Obama look like a first-grader caught cheating on a test.

YEEEEEEEEEEEE-HA!

If they got cheeseburgers on Mars that means there's O2 TOO!
Just another guy with an extra 40 or so buttons on his calculator
laughin' his yankass off. I however can use maybe 24 on a good day...

Being from a neighborhood that regularly chews the political fat--
and sticking my neck out for this guy just once, I might refer anyone
with enough time to constantlywired's 'Night Before Inauguration' post.

Over the years I've lost the gleam over Santa-- but there may be
decent real people out there that want to do the work. I personally
won't hop on and ride someone until he screws up badly enough.
But I hate all screwups with equal measure. Probably why my
blood pressure medicine doesn't kick it shavin'. Ever.

Other side o'... I don't have a show on MSNBC, never have or will:
nor a fat paycheck to lose for ragging on my boss' buddy as equally as
whom another disliked.
Hope that helped explain why I can't see the need yet for a "Bash
Trump When He Hasn't Pooched the Leadscrew Yet" thread.

Of course, as often as I expect he'll be human, they must happen
because Trump=just a guy. JtSame it'll be good to get everybody
on alert with the zoom scopes, lest we miss one. sigh

PS to the OP... I'm positive with your skills and assuredness as to
sources, permission needs a grantor besides conscience?

And this guy for almost all purposes could prove in one term
to be the 21st century's first go-to sausage and cheese
subsonic sledgehammer. Just hope the secdet stays tiptoed..
I think he got some big enemies even after the primaries.

Gotta give out the quote again-- never get tired of it.
Like looking out the window at the Big River...

"We come in peace. I have no artillery. I beg you with tears
in my eyes: do not PvQue with us, or I'll kill you all."
Maybe not Patton-- but a man with that resolve must be CLONED.
ALOTA times. More, if it's already underway dammit.

And for the Secretary of Defense, and another ex-Commandant
in the non-Pentagon slot the Grunts got their sixes secured.

PS like that whine Daddy Bear gave me the laugh over, and the
30mm Avenger spooling up at half-trigger-- I just got a goosebump
from the whistle of a couple a not so scaled down scimitars ROFL.
Faster is better I suppose, close up and impersonal not so much.

Now that Trump is president..... I will wait and see what he does. Don't like the guy, but he won. So gotta give him a chance.

Predictions. I suspect he will be around the same as our last few presidents. Not that great. He will increase and strengthen our military and we will see a boots on the ground war somewhere in the middle-east. He will double down on the surveillance state. He will replace Obamacare with something equally as bad.

So business as usual. Some things will change. Some pawns will be sacrificed. But the game goes on.

Could be wrong. Hope he does make America great again. Whatever that means. I am sure it differs from person to person.

I think you have to wait awhile longer to see what the results are of what he implements. Then if it all goes south, go for it!

What do I feel...? Like we now have hope, like God is returning to America. And who can challenge God.

Literally everybody in the world. And science. Religion should have no place in an educated, civilised society and definitely not in politics.

Well his acceptance speech was his first act as President....and he knocked it out of the park. That one will go down as one of the greatest speeches ever.

This reminds me of the way people spoke about George W Bush while he was president.

Aside from that, the speech was no great shakes as a speech. It said what people wanted to hear but not much else.

You said Trump was committing criminal acts. Criminality proceedings start with an indictment.
You said it was in the Articles of Impeachment.

Trump is, as of Jan.20, 2017 at 12.01 PM, in violation of the "Emolument Clause" of the US Constitution. But, I didn't say that the indictment IS IN his Articles of Impeachment, I said "You will find that indictment in the Articles of Impeachment, as in WHEN they are drawn up. And, mark my words, they WILL be drawn up. They have to be. This violation MUST be challenged. Don't you agree? After all, Donald J Trump is the "Law and Order" President, right?

Am I the only one who noticed that his first official act was a "decree?" Presidents don't make decrees, monarchs do.

Strict Constructionists only believe in the Constitution when they can use it as a weapon against others.

"Strict Constitutionalist" or no, the letter of the law is the way the law is written and read.

The Constitution has stood this long because the guys who participated in developing and writing it were probably smarter in regards to righteous governance than anyone alive on earth today, they escaped, won a war with and freed themselves from being under the thumb of corrupt monarchy in their lifetimes.

It never was, nor ever will be open for interpretation.

If I was president Trump, one of the first things I would do is go after every neocon and globalist in our government and throw them OUT, if not outright prosecute them for treason. But that's just me.

I see, so your opinion is that Trump is in violation.

Prove it. Indict him.
