Trump: "Look at who Hillary has surrounded herself with! Goldman Sachs! She can't be trusted!"

Trump supporters: *CHEERS*

*goes on to appoint Goldman Sachs executives into his cabinet*

Trump supporters: *CHEERS*

Makes total sense doesn't it? Lol.

But it all depends on who is in control and what the corruption is.

Not all bankers are corrupt or bought off by politicians.

ah the Hitler card. I see.

And yet you were happy for Bush to invade the middle-east or for the Clinton body count to continue; never mind the pay to play "Clinton Foundation" or Benghazi. But why left facts get in the way? We can always call in the "he will be like Hitler" bogeyman.

as a businessman many of the same qualities, or lack, that indicate the same kind of mental disorders they have been told motivated Hitler.

What motivated Hitler and the what outcome eventually transpired were 2 different things.

The Treaty of Versailles In restoring peace to the suffering and damaged nations of Europe, the most important treaty written was the Treaty of Versailles. Naturally, the Allies felt it necessary to weaken Germany as to not give Germany the ability to upset the peace and order in Europe again. During the summer of 1919, many clauses were written in the treaty under which Germany was forced to give up land to surrounding nations, all of Germany’s colonies were put under League of Nations control, Germany’s army was cut to 100 000 men and 6 battleships, the land west of the Rhine River was demilitarized, Germany was forced to accept the blame for beginning the war, and Germany was to pay war reparations. The burdensome weight of the reparations along with an inflationary period and the Great Depression led to a massive instability of the German economy. Unemployment shot up and money became worthless. Such turmoil in the economy increased social unrest. Many Germans began to blame the socialists and liberals of the Weimar Republic for yielding to a dishonorable peace. Furthermore, the war guilt clause, the reparation payments, and the limits on Germany’s army provided a stage for radical right-wing parties.

As to a Nazi Germany scenario you only have to look at the wording of your Patriot Act or the actions of the NSA (Gestapo) keeping files on every US citizen to answer your own fears.

Why did Standing Rock protest against a pipeline being built on their reserve? I mean the pipes weren't installed yet so why protest it? That's the type logic I'm getting from your confusion.

Thank you for proving my point. The pipes weren't installed yet so the protests had a specific action they were seeking. DON'T install the pipes.

Again I ask you, what specific act are the protesters requesting?

Ah yes.... you wrote,

As for your edit: Trump.

So again, nothing specific. Just complaining for the sake of complaining.

That Trump not become president and have his past business practices leak over into his presidency.

Don't play stupid.

Sidestep what exactly? You confirmed they are protesting rhetoric, which I already stated. The rest was virtue-signalling, which I know is your favorite term.

1. Why shouldn't a politician be judged by his rhetoric? That's exactly what campaign rhetoric is for.

2. Is it any more reasonable to support Trump based on "certain articulated sounds in combinations" that come out of his mouth than it is to oppose him for the same?

3. Are you similarly dismayed by the abject fawning and predictions of a new "Golden Age?"

4. Should we not take anything Trump says seriously?

No it is not, like I've already told you.

The proposed pipeline will run under the Missouri River, the protest is over a possible contamination of their drinking water, except that their water supply is further up river.

Must I enlighten you on everything?

Since you're talking about what "may" happen in the future, that outlook is just as valid as yours. And it will be until the Trump presidency goes one way or the other.

You know what I meant.

Let me rephrase then: Why is Standing Rock protesting a pipeline that hasn't even been built yet? Because of the possible ramifications. Same goes for these protests against Trump.

Understand?

I'm sincerely not sure if you are just joking around at this point or if you are serious. (Either way I'm enjoying our back and forth).

Trump WON. You don't have to like it. I don't have to like it. However, that is what happened and tomorrow he IS being sworn in.

So I'll ask one more time (or maybe more if we keep going back and forth)..... What exactly is it that the protesters want? That Trump not become president? There is literally no mechanism for that to happen.

Not wanting past practices coming into his presidency? If (or when) Trump proposes legislation that is disagreeable then of course, by all means, people should do all they can to be heard. Hasn't happened yet.

Yes, I know Trump has given some general ideas about what he is going to propose but until there is something specific to rally against... there is nothing to rally against.

Words are cheap, deeds eternal.

What has he done as president that offends you? What executive actions has he implemented that concern you?

Do you judge the outgoing potus by his words, rather than his actions? 'You can keep your doctor' you know.

People who are not very smart are getting together to do things that are straight up stupid.
They are going next level with it, for all the world to see.

This is a good thing.
