I do not like how I can say this about another human being, however, if Trump was assassinated it would be for the better of the country.

If I were him, I would not have an inauguration ball but his ego would never allow that.

I just hope for the best.

This is a awful viewpoint to have. Many times I have disagreed with you but now I just look down upon you. What a disgusting person you are. SMH

AND....I'm pretty sure people want President Trump more than they want President Pence. I am a conservative and I don't want a President Pence.

Im not too happy I feel that way either. However, I do believe he is a danger to the country.

I really don't want him to die...I wish he would just admit he can't do it and step down (that would mean Pence as well would have to step down, he is not sworn in yet).

Assassinating a US President or POTUS-elect is never going to be "for the better of the country". (By the way, it would be best to say "would be best for the country". But that is just to help you, because I see that English is not your first language.)

An assassination of a president means that an individual or small group of people act against the will of the people who chose that person as president. In a totalitarian regime, like eg Iraq under Saddam Hussein -- when there was only one candidate for president on the ballot -- assassination might seem like a reasonable alternative. (Though I do not support murder!) But in a country like the USA, where by absolute law, the President is chosen by a vote of its citizens and there is more than one candidate, then the law should be all that matters. And, this law should be followed. Always!

A POTUS can only serve a maximum of eight years. That is also the law. But the people of the US have the right to choose another candidate even after their POTUS has only served four years. And, if the President does something against the laws, the Congress has the right to put that President on trial and even remove him (or her) from the office of President. The laws of the USA were written to make sure of this.

So, why commit the terrible crime of murder, to remove someone who might only be President for four years? Or a maximum of eight years? How can that be good for a country like the USA, which has a system to choose their President, and it is a system that works well? Yes, many people do not like the result if their candidate loses, but that is the system and the law.

Assassination within a system of government like the US has, is cowardly. It also does not respect the will of millions of people. In my opinion, if anyone assassinates Trump or any elected US President, that person is not worthy of any respect. That person is a low criminal. Nothing more.

I repeat: murdering a President of the United States is never good for the country. It is the action of a coward and it goes against the law and the will of the people who elected that leader.

Now they are fake news as opposed to a real news outlet,

They're only called "fake news" by Trump supporters after Trump had another meltdown and couldn't handle criticism being thrown at him. So instead of dealing with the accusations, he just cried "FAKE NEWS" and you all toed the line like good little lackies.

They are being called fake news because they fake news.

I've felt past 8 years were an affront to ideals and have us in a dangerous position.

Not once have I wished for violence on the perpetrator of that affront.

CNN postulation and persons expressing anything other than peaceful transition are antithetical to our system.

These sort of "stories" may break the camels back. The American people love to argue about politics, but (usually) draw the line with smack talk like CNN is doing.
I don't want this to stop, I want all the lies on both the left and the right to stop, and be put out of business. The main reason is becasue the main stream weaponized media is owned by the very wealthy and do their bidding. Not a free press.

Don't worry about it, CNN is a fake news propaganda outlet - they have about as much credibility as Hillarys sworn oath to the FBI.

Interesting.

I wouldn’t worry the chances of all those people being taken out in one big splash is about zero.

But keep in mind the CIA runs CNN…

Their just making trouble for Trump

They are slowly sinking into the dung of the left. They will not stop, or start to be objective.

I will enjoy watching the slow and steady self inflicted slice into CNN's wrist from apparent self mutilation that will end in a "accidental suicide". They may not be the only one, Huff post seems to be hell bent to run off a cliff.

I think the mods will be wise to remove the above post. Fake stories and promoting assassination, my how you do get around.

Thank you, Chirp.

Some people might think I'm an avid Trump supporter or something. That's not the true situation. I am a strong supporter of the law, especially when the laws of the land are about as just they can be.

I have a printed copy of the US Constitution which I downloaded years ago. I have used this at times in study with my (adult) students here in Prague, so that they would learn two things:
-- you can run a very powerful country with a very simple legal document that is not hard to understand, and
-- the COTUS is a great example of that kind of legal document.

Whenever I've shared it with tthem, they have been blown away by how straightforward it is.

The people of the US fought for the rights that their Constitution gives them. Literally. They gave blood for them and they even gave their lives for them. And they deserve huge respect for that. And for any Americans who are reading this but have never read your Constitution, go to archives .gov and read it. All of it. And be damned proud of it! Because you have a right to be proud!

I am supporting POTUS-elect Trump because he is POTUS-elect. By the laws of your land. It just doesn't matter if I agree with the electoral system or not. The fact is, this is what you have and this the way your presidents are selected. I will not support any calls to stop your POTUS-elect taking office, because Trump is POTUS-elect. And tomorrow, at noon, your constitution unequivocally says he shall be president.

The very idea that someone might try to kill him to prevent him taking office disgusts me. Not just because I am against murder, but because such cowards are beneath contempt, in my opinion. Heck, I don't even like Trump. But that is irrelevant, for two reasons. One, I'm not American so what I think of him matters not at all and two, he won the Electoral College vote. That's what your laws say he needed and that's good enough for me.

For any US readers, by all means read the opinions of non-US members like me and think about them, but don't be bothered by them. Why be upset by opinions of people who have Z-E-R-O influence over who you choose as your President? YOU vote for him or her, not us! Okay? Our opinions are just fodder for your intelligence to muse upon!

I cannot even understand why so many are still bleating about this. If you're an American, do you respect your Constitution or not? If you do, then accept the choice that was made. If not, then I don't know what to say to you, when you live in a land where the rule of law is what you ought to live by.

If you're not an American and you don't like the outcome, then too bad, how sad. Trump ain't your President, so deal with it, okay?

So, I want to see him sworn in. Safely. Peacefully. As for whatever he does from then on? Honestly, I expect he'll do ok. But if not, Congress has options that the COTUS gives them.

The USA's Constitution is what counts. I respect it and I admire it. End of story.

While I have debated that CNN and the CIA are working in conjunction, I don't think that they are very much connected beside the CIA using CNN to push the anti Trump propaganda.

I see CNN as a willing vassal for the attacks of the new administration.

But as with everything the CIA will be under a new administration that has the power to clean them from inside out in the next 4 years.

Admittedly I would like to see the CIA gutted and destroyed.

Doesn't mean I like Trump though, but it would go a long way towards me not hating him so much.

Thing is, they've been at it for so long and have become so embedded within so many things, how in the bloody hell would one go about doing this?

And how could you be sure you've ferreted out all their hidey holes?

I mean, let's think about this for a sec, here is an organization which lives by shady and hidden operations. Sure, you might squash the bits you can see, but like cockroaches they're in the walls and just because you stomp out the visible portions of the nest, you'll never know how many are hiding away where you can't see them.

Admittedly this is somewhat off topic for this thread, perhaps there is another where this discussion would be better suited?

Actually that post is the quintessential post of this thread that demonstrates that the lies, disinformation and demonization of a Presidential candidate has convinced the weaker minded half of America's population that he is the devil himself. For heavens sake the guy is a property developer and casino operator, are there a few business skeletons in the closet, sure -as there is for any billionaire, but the only bodies in his gardens might be a few alligators in Florida when they built his golf club.It shows just the influence the media can have on people that allow others to think for them.I agree though when first amendment meets treason or sedition the rule of law should prevail.
