I'm of the school of thought that what did you think was going to happen?

If he is sick, it was still a stupid thing to do, but he is not responsible. He made a point, and was cognitive enough to make that so I think it was a stunt.

But then again, I can watch someone smash the crap out of their finger with a hammer while driving a dowel out and laugh. Skilled trade thing.

Used to see this a lot when free basing was the in thing.

I don't expect you to get it, people like you want revolution and all that but don't want to die for it.

The dumbest?

Typical American response I spose.

Self immolation has started revolutions.

This guy felt so strongly about something that he was willing to die as a martyr for it.

That takes a lot of guts, more than any of you lot calling him names does, that's for sure.

True. More altruistic than strapping on a vest bomb. But a little premature in my opinion. Save it for when Trump actually does something.

He protests his own imagination and twisted fantasies, and this is the result.

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

"Change begins with you"

All Trump haters should follow suit.

There may be more honor in dying for a cause, but damn it sure seems more logical to kill for a cause, doing whatever you can to avoid dying yourself.

Sure it does. Some people don't like it when people they don't like do nice things for them.

Maybe the protestor is one of those types.

As to drunk posting. Sir I only just cracked my first (of two) beer of the night.

My husband just said the same thing! Though, I personally think that this had to be terrorizing (traumatizing) for any innocent bystanders going about their daily life and see another human set themselves on fire.

If I'm going to die for a revolution, I want it to be doing something meaningful toward revolution. This accomplishes nothing except turning myself into a flaming beacon of futility.

It's like deciding that instead of fighting and dying, he's just going to skip the fighting and proceed directly to the dying. Fighting is too hard, man!

Lead by example.

Show the Americans you despise how it is done.

You went Buster Poindexter, making me regret my decision to not quote BOC's "Burnin' For You."

Thank you! I couldn't find that damn quote to save my life. That's way more logical than the idea killing yourself equals change.

Wow where was he when Bush decided to invade another country based on a pack of lies and laughed at the 4th amendment? What a hero.
