If they work together, why can't they agree on an infrastructure jobs bill. That would benefit states and millions of workers.

Thanks to the Do-Nothing Congress!

(His approval rating just hit 60% as he leaves the White House...just FYI)

- AB

And Congress (who something like 90+% of the people up for reelection got reelected) is still sitting around 14%.

You finished by saying:

"You may say that is a fantasy. History will bear me out though, assuming of course, it is a fair history."

I agree with that sweeping assessment but term it as "fair play" in the game of politics. Obama's grandiose plans were destined to fail but he thought that he could pull off his game-changing plans, after all, he was the anointed savior! He should have known better, and other, more experienced players in the field did know better and, thus, bested him.

Pretty easy to understand.

Digging deeper into the numbers, Congress spent less time in session, handled fewer business on the chamber floors and generally sputtered for much of Mr. Obama’s tenure, according to The Times’ index.

Do nothing GOP congress wins again.

There are way to get things done.

Even single term presidents got more done.

Yes. They are called Executive Orders and Executive Actions, but we all know how conservatives felt about Obama using them.

Obama's approval rating is high because people are happy he didn't do much.

Just think of the damage he would have done.

They lowered the deficit spending.

Obama's approval rating is high because he was able to mortgage our great grand kids economic future with a $20,000,000,000,000 debt. This is keeping the populace calm and happy.

BS. But you can live in that reality as you choose!

1227 bills. Who knows what even half of them were? Remember, ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

I always thought less laws was better...

Uh huh. Just wait. Republicans will now shrug and, just like Cheney, say "deficits don't matter."

History of the most obstructionist Republican legislature.

Or and much more likely is he couldn't get along with people and dithered.

He didn't even get as much done as 1 termers. He also had team Dem for 2 years. FAIL

Obama wouldn't work with congress, not even his own party. For example Cory booker and Rand Paul came up with at least two bills that they took to Obama for support and he ignored both of them. He wants his name on it or nothing.

And they passed a budget, something a democratic congress couldn't do.

Because they were talking about it on an interview. They had a bill that would've released all non violent drug offenders from jail and commuted their sentences, obummer said nope. Then they drafted a bill to lower the income tax and business tax to 0 in struggling inner cities, obummer said nope. Then he took the bill changed the name and passed it as his own.
