I personally think every country should have open relations with all countries around the world. Changes don't happen for the better if countries
are secluded from having any dialog or when economic sanctions are applied. The sanctions always places hardships on it's citizens and not the
leadership of their country. It sure doesn't make citizen's of that country view America favorably.
Before questioning if we should have better relations with Russia, I've included a video of one of America's friend and ally - Saudi Arabia. It's
a video of Saudi women who have found asylum in America because of their mistreatment and the threat to their lives. This is a country that has
Sharia Law, a law that blatantly justifies killing and restricting the basic human rights of its citizens. Yet both Bush administrations have cozied
up to their kings, and have included them as friends to the United States. It's disgusting after watching this video, that America would even
consider this country as a friend and ally. Russia pales in comparison.
The U.S. has justified invading Iraq who played no part in 9/11. We've also covertly influenced elections in the middle east and supported numerous
dictators. The U.S. doesn't exactly have a shining resume or a right to point the finger at Russia when they themselves have engaged in conflicts
that served their own self-interests. These conflicts are not even in our neighborhood!
