Yea more polls hehe! If you would like, I would welcome one that shows a wider margin than 20% in reference to his approval ratings on the decisions he has made since the election. Furthermore, support for Clinton pre election.

Polls are an excellent divisive tactic.

IMO sitting back and waiting is how we got to this point. Jobs, families and financial responsibilities has what brought us to this point. Silent majority is not necessarily a good thing.

Indeed, you are correct.

It IS Dividing people and it won't stop until people stop feeding the beast.

It would be very hard to kill the sovereignty of a nation if the people weren't divided. Its also a great way to split a nation, all you need is a catalyst. Korea, for one. Tried it in vietnam, etc.
Berlin, I believe.

Our problem in the US is the push towards complete socialism, which, along with drawn out wars will collapse our wealth. We have been bleeding out for some time. And yet, there are among us, millions of people that would rather not see us deviate from this course. Everything is extremely expensive while the jobs available cannot support a family or even single people, for that matter. But what the young wanted was a magic wand to make their debt disappear. I love magic wands.
Same magic wand we would need to end the division.
The media is controlled, through and through.
The same stories with the same slant, day in, day out. Like there's some great huddle at night to all get on the "same page". Its a master plan.

Destroy America from within.

Been in the works for some time.
There will be no concession from either side. And when you have republicans against their own president, well, you kind of see where this is being set up to go. To the end.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

That slogan really bothers people, I mean, REALLY bothers people.

The Man hasen't even been Sworn In Yet , and the Liberal Media is Working Overtime to somehow Destroy his Presidency before it is even started because they have an Irrational Obscession about what they ASSume he will do when in Office . The Word " Unfair " comes to mind in my Opinion here .

Unfair? You should have thought of that 8 years ago when Trump started lying about Obama being born in Kenya. Oh I forgot now he says that was Hillary. Trump lies right in your face and insults your intelligence and you think we should be fair? No, I think we should obstruct everything he tries to do. I say no Supreme Court pick until after the next election and filibuster every attempt to do anything. Let them reap what they have sown. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Civil unrest and armed conflict will be the result, regardless if its by design or fluke.
On the other hand, the right has the military, law enforcement and 50 million heavily armed civilians.

On a side note, ATF compliant bunker busters are on sale at Walmart.
You can find them in the citizen's heavy munitions section.

A worthy effort but ultimately futile. The partisan bickering/circle jerk will continue unabated. A never ending chorus of voices that think they have something of value to add while detracting from those who see it differently.

I really need to stop visiting this site. What it has become is a pathetic arena for keyboard warriors to battle it out fighting for their chosen champion.

You have the words 'divisions' and 'differences' mixed up because our differences are real but our division is manufactured. You can be different from someone and still get along with them but you can't if you are divided against one another. There's a very important difference between the two terms.

No I don't have them mixed up, I used division/divide and the like exactly as I intended and meant for you to interpret them as you have, I've no arguments with your definition or elaboration on the terms. It's just that where I see "division" you see "differences" and that's a matter of a difference of perception/analysis or the like, not an issue of confusion of definitions.

And

"We have to find common ground, we can't just accept the divisions as unavoidable or unstoppable."

I can't help but read just a touch of wishful thinking into your last phrase, maybe that's just my bias. However, I really hope you're right and my evaluation of the situation is wrong.

As far as segregation goes, I'm referring to JinMi's comment now, we already have it. But again, I hope you and Lumen are right and I'm wrong.

As it pertains to the thread, you are correct. It is wishful thinking and a little hope sprinkled on top. It's not the politics that keep furthering the divide. It's the rhetoric surrounding them. Most of us don't have the time, energy or will to pursue every nook and cranny. We have obligations.

Politics has been made into the new reality TV and it's sickening. We need to remember, these people work for US. Not individuals.

WTH are you on about Olaru? This thread is not about civil war and no it is not what I want. What I want is Americans to wake the hell up and realize that WE share more in common as far as goals and needs than we do with the politicians that the MSM is glamorizing.

Even you. Union bred and a skilled tradesman even though you fall on the left side of the spectrum. Do you realize I am a tool and die worker? FFS we would hang out at the same bar and have very similar life stories but because of the rhetoric spun on BOTH sides, we have to choose one and defend it as some sort of loyalty pledge.

It's just silly.

Always look at "who benefits".

It's government that always benefits.

They are like "The House" in Vegas.

The odds are always in their favor.

Exactly!

The answer to almost any riddle or mystery is:

Cui Bono? Who benefits?

Once you know that, you know which thread to pull on, or which rabbit to chase into it's hole, etc.
