You tell me.

You're the one who stated that Lewis has been fighting for equality.

Who has he been fighting?

Are you questioning that John Lewis has fought and continues to fight for equality? I don't understand what you're getting at, other than having a go at me.

I agree. It probably bothers me more than most anything else of a political bent that has surfaced over the last few years.

That's why I refuse to be a part of either Party.

High five for being Independent. One day, we will be the cool kids.

We already are. The Kool-Aid they serve is tainted.

Don't we have equality now?

What laws are currently in place that promote bigotry and racism?

No.

The rest of your comment is nonsense. If you want to know more about John Lewis' history of supporting rights for minorities, I suggest you take a look at his legislative history. It's public record.

If you think this country has true equality, then why did gay people have to fight for their rights to be married? Why are women paid less than men? Why are there organizations such as NAACP?

If we are all equal, why?

I don't want to be rude to you, but you are off-topic, and you're really not making that much sense. I think you just want to bicker instead of having a conversation, and I'm not interested. Okay?

Fair enough.

It was just a question stemming from your statement that Lewis was fighting for equality.

In order to fight, you need an opponent. So I was curious as to who Lewis's opponents were.

Just was wondering who you thought was for inequality.

Gays can now get married, women getting paid less is something that depends on the job/boss and groups like the naacp are around mostly to cry about nothing and pocket money.

This country will NEVER have across-the-board "equality for all". Human nature doesn't allow for that.

Gay CEO will show preference to gay applicants.

Woman Senator will show preference to female applicants.

White Basketball Team Owner will show preference to Black Basketball Players.

Male Business Owner President will show preference for Male Business Owner applicants.

On and on it goes... HUMAN NATURE. Nothing more to it.

I raise my hand in excitement.

Like the top 5 he introduced or supported.

You can easily find them. They are most, if not all, in favor of advancing people of color. Want me to get a link for you? I don't have them memorized or anything, but I was looking over them earlier.

H.R. 4275 (111th): To designate the annex building under construction for the Elbert P. Tuttle United States Court of Appeals ... Building in Atlanta, Georgia, as the “John C. Godbold Federal Building”.

Or maybe,

H.R. 2040 (110th): Civil Rights Act of 1964 Commemorative Coin Act

Or maybe,

H.Res. 317 (111th): Recognizing the region from Manhattan, Kansas, to Columbia, Missouri, as the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor, and ...

So.... glad I am not a judge in this beauty contest.

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) recent statements about TRUMP not be our legitimate president is a racist statement from a black man.

You are a snowflake if you think that.

Another racists quote from a racist.....

I think you need to take a long look in the mirror.....

Now I'm a racist? Wow you really are a snowflake.

It's very telling that Rep. John Lewis's personal website contains no list of quantifiable accomplishments.

WEBSITE: johnlewis.house.gov...

No wonder Donald Trump correctly/accurately instructed Congressman Lewis to focus on ACCOMPLISHING good deeds at home, instead of verbally shooting himself in the foot all the time.
