I have to agree.

Of course, you will be accused of having "thin skin" or being unable to handle scrutiny.. But its borderline tragic that the comedic goldmine of current US politics is just thrown to the wind.

No cleverness, or ingenuity, just insults delivered with a smile and a chuckle (that's what lets you know you should laugh!). Sure, their target audience loves it and will defend it, because thats what people do with their sports teams and religions.

But.. man.. so, so much potential wasted. Maybe I'm just a comedic idealist, but true brilliance is being able to get just as many laughs out of the people you are targeting and those that disagree. It doesn't take much talent to get laughs out of a group that will delight in anything negative about their "enemies." That just sets the bar disturbingly low.
