I think the Jokes forum may be the answer to the riddle. On my theory, Trump did not do it, but he joked about doing it; "hey, I just realised that we got the chance to mess up Obama's bed". The joke would only work because it sounded like messing up one the Obamas owned, or one they would be occupying later. There could be no point or satisfaction in doing it after the Obamas had been there.
