It should be obvious by now that these are not going to be peaceful protests, but rather riots and attempts to stop the inauguration. The organizers themselves are admitting that what they want "is not a 'peaceful transition". These people want to stop the inauguration and want a rebellion, which of course will not be peaceful at all.

These people don't want to protest, they want to stop the inauguration and cause a violent rebellion.

Most of DC gets shut down the day before the Inauguration.

None of these protests will get within 10 blocks of the ceremony.

It's really a non issue.

This is funny. Why the left think they can somehow delay, stop or even interfere is ridiculous, why? Secret service and local police will mark many blocks for security reason and those protesters will not be heard OR seen. They will be so far away some will think there are no protesters....

Among the groups doing this includes BLM, apart from anarchists, socialists and other far left wing groups. We have already seen the destruction of property some of these groups have already caused in protest for the election of Trump, so even if they can't get within 10 mile radius. I am certain there are contingencies for these groups to get closer than that, more so with the DNC approval stamp these groups have and the money funding these groups which includes Soros.

These idiots probably have more destruction and violence in mind.

If there is a possibility of threat to the president by a protestor, no matter which president, the secret service and policing agencies have the right to shoot a protestor. All they need to do is pull something that looks like any possible weapon and they can be shot. I hope those idiots do not start protesting right in the inauguration. This is not a campaign anymore, this man is the president and that kind of stuff is not allowed, they could go to prison just for doing something they feel is harmless.

Protests are going to do nothing but waste a lot of ignorant peoples time. What a joke. Some one tells them to "go here" and we're gonna change the world.
Trump gonna get inaugurated, the protestors will be ignored by the citizens ( but not by the media). the citizens will ignore the media.... and they will all go home and nothing will have changed.
And all those "credit card protestors"... will have ran up their Visa and Mastercards, some most likely took few days off work and lost that money, some probably borrowed money.... and it wont have mattered a bit, everything will be exactly the way it was gonna be anyways.
But the banks will have made millions. And the stores and restaurants will wish there was protests everyday.....and every month people will look at their credit card bill and be reminded that they threw all that money right out the door.... and gotta keep on giving it to the bank each and every month.
Credit card Protestors.....each believing they are Rosa Parks, that they are contributing something meaningful to society.... making the world a better place.

One of the flaws in their plan is that Trump does not need a big public inauguration to be President. He just needs to take the oath. In a private room, if necessary.
Wasn't Johnson sworn in on the plane which took Kennedy's body back to Washington?
President Hayes started his term of office on a Sunday, so he took the oath privately in the White House the night before, and then had a big public ceremony on the Monday (I discovered this when researching my thread on the 1877 crisis).
If their hopes rest on the theory "if the inauguration doesn't take place, there is no official President", they will be disappointed.

The time wasted won't be from those who are ignorant, but those responsible and have the duty to protect those who will be threatened by those willing to overthrow our transition of government.
