Steve winwood is the most awesome.

Good call on the Joe Bonamassa. I was thinking about posting some myself. So I'll post some Allman Brothers instead.

I didn't know they had their own band. It definitely sounds like them too. Here's Little Feat:

I will never forget when we converted from AM to FM radio transmission in Perth and I heard this on the first day of FM!!!
I was hooked - the difference in dynamic range and the power of the Lyrics blew me. It was as they say heaven...a Natural high of endorphins - long before I knew what Endorphin's were!

Did you ust compare skillrex to some stupid symphony? Why are you even comparing classical music to pop?I like classical but it is just sridiculous to compare the two

That's the point. Music that deviates from classical order is dumbed down. Classical order is sophisticated while other music is just relying on sound effects, computer editing software etc.

Utter ignorance -- rejected.

I'll gladly compare the process, originality, creativity, depth of ideas, quality, and passion of the performance and overall relevance of a David Bowie or Queens of the Stone Age record, any day, to your favorite contemporary classical recordings.

And I can do it note for note.

beware of Nitrogen

When you get a little deeper
If you slow down you might keep her
The sea, unforgiving and she's hard
But she'll make love to you
Show you glimpses of the stars

At about two hundred feet
You realize the peril
But seductive is the deep
That shark over there holds no terror

Catchy song but it's basically saying prostitution and drugs is cool. Anyone that knows what the lifestyle is really about knows it's a dirty business.

It was ok.

I still find songs like the Gael, Adagio in G minor, The Lonely Shepherd, and Catholic hymns more empowering.

When music creates an emotional response that is true musicianship.
