...to post another poem!

Whats happenin' ATS? It's been far too long since I've been an active participant in discussion here on this lovely website, so I decided I would share some more of my work with my fellow conspiracy enthusiasts.

As those of you who have followed my poetry know, I'm a bit of a romantic. This poem is no different, as its about a love interest, except that I wrote it with the intention of it being worthy of being put to music. So, without further ado, here it is.

Kill Me Now

I only have one wish,
To get over all this.
Get this off of my mind,
Get my head back in line.

So many hours spent dreaming,
Of those beautiful eyes just gleaming
Wishing for a chance at something new;
Nothing more than a chance with you.

You're so beautiful.
Both inside and out.

I wanted it so badly, I gave in to the madness.
I poured my feelings out for you, risking this sadness.
Spoken from the heart, even chancing it to go there.
Though my words seem to have gotten me nowhere.

I only have one wish,
To get over all this.
Get this off of my mind,
Get my head back in line.

It's not on you, it's most definitely on me.
I got on a raft and drifted willingly to sea.
Now I'm all alone left here riding these waves.
The blame resides with me, though your beauty depraves.

You're so beautiful.
Both inside and out.

With no one to blame except for myself,
It becomes hard to answer oneself.
Why did you do it? You knew not to fall.
I let love walk me right into this wall.

I only have one wish,
To get over all this.
Get this off of my mind,
Get my head back in line.

Nice....

I put it to music. Here's the progression I used.

Bmin, G, Emin, F#7 and almost endless loop

Thank you. Both for the compliment, and the beat.

I have many more in reserve, both written and to be.
