No sorry. Trump doesn't have a better read on intel than I do. I don't think that I know more about hacking than anyone, or more about ISIS that the generals, or any other extremely stupid things that Trump has said. Nor to I believe any of the lies that he's tossed our way.

You can't trust a single thing that comes out of Trump's mouth! He lies! Why would I trust him and Putin over my own country's intelligence agencies!

I would not!

But when CNN runs any story: disbelieve until proven otherwise.

That is kinda where we are. WSJ seems to have a credible history. CNN does not. I'd dare say its moved into Fox territory, leaving MSNBC out on the whacko fringe all alone.

CNN: You're attacking us, you're attacking us!

Trump: No, I'm exposing you.

NO, Trump is acting like a man-baby in a press conference, when he finally had one.

We will see many more of him yelling crazy things at reporters or only allowing Breitbart, AJ and Conservative Treehouse to attend.

I am sure real news outlets will be fine, but Fake News outlets like CNN will obviously be excluded from proceedings. Nothing wrong with that. I am sure he's not going to give much time to TheOnion either.

ENOUGH! CNN is as fake as FOX is. Who we need to keep out is Breitbart and AJ. With Trump, who knows??? That is what we have to stop.

So wait, are people now back to claiming that this entire document did NOT originate with 4Chan? I swear we've been back and forth on this 10 times now. Where the hell did we land?

The 4Chan bit was Fake News by trumpites..

WSJ Identifies Author of Trump Dossier As Ex–British Agent Christopher Steele
nymag.com...

Not you personally...but it is strange how so many people here have strong opinions without researching the topic.

I did so some research. Problem is, it's a moving target.

Ok...well here is some advice...

Some guy posts anonymously on 4Chan that they made it up and it's all fake...show skepticism.

If the Wall Street Journal identifies the author and provides his biography, calls up his boss and has a conversation where the boss defends the work?...Show less Skepticism...

I did show skepticism. My initial take, posted somewhere in this thread (or maybe one of the others), was that the allegations seemed suspect, but that I didn't believe the entire report could have originated with 4Chan. Then I read a pretty thorough analysis that swayed me in the other direction, especially once it became clear the CIA actually had no part in the actual creation of the report and was merely passing off something they'd gotten from McCain (a couple times removed).

Again, steel wrote about chicken tenders? And hookers peeing on beds? It reads like a movie starring Seth Rogan and James Franco.

Hahahahahahahaha Bookmarked!
You think you know more about the intelligence services than Trump does - the President Elect who is talking with them and being briefed by them, but you know better? Priceless.

Eh, its all fun and games when you happen to agree with the person shutting down the press.

What happens when its something you disagree with? This is the crux of the issue.

Oh wow like the IRS, Obama and Tea Party? What Trump did here was nothing that had to do with shutting down anyone. Press needs to re-earn a place in a public open Q&A

If the intelligence report showed they swayed the numbers I doubt he'd still be president elect.

And yes it is hypocrisy but also looks fickle and weak.

The only way to show strength is either make it so that can't happen again or hit back.

Nah, CNN are going to be excluded and rightly so.
CNN rolled the dice and it came up FAKE.

So, the contention is that Christopher steel wrote the bit about Trump holding a plate of chicken tenders? And the stuff on page 35 about hookers peeing on beds? That seems a little nuts.

LMAO! Right? The entire thing was so sophomoric. If he is real and he did write it, no one should ever hire him again.

This guy is amazing.

And people are seeing it and im pretty sure that a lot of people on the left have slowly started to see it too. Bar the hardcore "progressives" of course.

No more BS acting and pretending, just straight up as is. Its about time we did not have a politician up there.

The "crazy" was coming from CNN.

How dare anyone accuse them of making stuff up, they never do that...

Exactly! It's amazing, the entire thing. It is hard to believe the entire document is not an elaborate joke, because that is EXACTLY how it reads.

The hookers thing is funny and absurd, but it's really the chicken tenders thing that puts it over the top in my mind. Just so silly.

But when CNN runs any story: disbelieve until proven otherwise.

ALWAYS with EVERYTHING...I love research..Whenever I meet a new doctor they think I am doctor...cuz when something goes wrong...I look up everything and the definition of every word until I get it..and by the time I am talking to a specialist I am drilling him on his approach and strategy for solving the issue in his own language.

that has nothing to do with CNN...CNN is less sophisticated than WSJ..But WSJ is more bias..

CNN is mostly fluff..I can't believe Don Lemon is able to drive himself to work. The man has popcorn between the ears.

WSJ is more intelligent, but with agenda.

I don't care either way. Because if I am interested in a story I am going to drill from every source and my own research tactics altogether.

No CNN is not Fox News...they want Everyone's money, left and right...fox just capitalizes on the rights pocket book.

But selling to everyone is still selling.

None of that has anything to do with Christopher Steele, the longtime MI6 agent with a history of reliable intelligence gathering, that compiled a Dossier on Trump.

For those that think the Cohen thing disqualifies ALL of it...you know somewhere deep down that is flawed logic. The report was 35 pages of detail and Cohen occupied a few sentences of some source saying stuff.

If a weatherman says it will be rain mixed with snow tomorrow at 6PM and it ends up being just snow at 6PM...no one claims it is summer and the weatherman is lying.

It's RAW intelligence. First Draft intelligence..Meant to be curated, edited, confirmed, chased...

What the CIA, NSA et al have is not the Dossier buzzfeed has, but what is left after they talked to the same sources, checked NSA comms and records, confirmed with CIA agents and assets..

A two page summary...and the Cohen meet was not on it.

CNN is fine for general news. On occasion they 'break' something. On occasion, the few international correspondents they have left, have a nice, solid story.

But you're right, for in depth, hard hitting journalism, I don't read CNN anymore.

I look at that webpage for 'What, in general, happened today?' and it reads smarter than MSNBC. It reads less preachy and less irritating than FOX. It loads faster than The Daily Kos, which I really love the mix of news and blogs. I have BBC News and CBC news and HuffPo in my shortcuts. I like Huff Po for in depth social news, not for in depth breaking news.

On occasion I look at Drudge, as it really is just an aggregator.

I use weather underground for weather, it is much better than weather.com

spaceweather.com is much better than spaceweathernews.com

USGS is better for earthquakes, in general, but on occasion, global incident map catches one sooner.

Twitter is good for Breaking news as it happens.

Otherwise, MSM is really where one will get most of 'it' whatever 'it' is, all at once. Though ATS beats MSM on occasion, less now that that app is gone.

Yes, they were definitely directly referencing Buzzfeed.
I think they are altering pages and covering tracks now though.
