You are throughly confused. Not allowing a question from an organization that just disseminated fake news is not even close to stifling the first amendment. Why make such a ridiculous statement?

You are thoroughly confused. CNN did not disseminate "fake news," it reported a story with appropriate attribution. The document exists, the public needs to know that it exists, whether it is true or not. This is exactly the same as the initial leak of the DNC emails. What would you say if the DNC refused to acknowledge the emails, then refused to talk to the media that reported their existence? Trump refuses to talk to CNN because it reports accurately, and he fears that. Trump's attempt to demonize the free press is the first step towards abolishing it. Remember, Trump admires Putin, who controls Russia's media with an iron hand.

But will Trump supporters be supporting a 'crackdown on fake news',' from a Trump-led government, if they are inundated with fake news about him for the next four years?

They are already clamoring to revoke the First Amendment because of real news.

This is worrying because a free press is a cornerstone of democracy. They are trying a similar thing in the UK.

CNN propagated fake news. Period.

They can wriggle all they like about whether they talked specifics about the Buzzfeed fake news, but that is what their story was based on and their 'multiple sources' talking about Trump being 'presented' with the two page summary were also wrong.

People are not buying CNN's "we're innocent because we didn't specifically talk about one of the allegations" - that people could easily find anyway and were led to based on the story by CNN... and yes they were led to the detail by CNN, specifically referencing Buzzfeed and also a link to a tweet by the editor of Buzzfeed.

CNN= FAKE NEWS.

What you are saying is ok is exactly what tabloids do.
They get some juicy gossip that is going to grab headlines, and they run with it, even if the sources are doubtful, and even if the gossip is damaging to the reputation of others.
So, I guess CNN is not a tabloid.

As for WikiLeaks, I don't believe that anything they released so far has been discredited as untrue, because they do have a reputation for meticulously validating the material and sources before releasing information.

Do you have proof Trump is being investigated as working with Russians? This is news to me.

Yes - I have proof. But, I've decided I have more important things to do right now - like post in xuenchen threads at ATS

:-)

Members of U.S. Congress made clear Tuesday they’re increasingly willing to broach a taboo topic: possible coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

I'm sorry - I know this story is about Trump being alerted to the possibility that Russia has dirt on him, but it's hardly a secret that there's an ongoing investigation. This is bigger than just this one story

Have you considered that Congress got this idea from the fake report, which was likely circulated to them by McCain or the Democratic candidate who purchased it?

They Dems in Congress are desperate.

This fake report actually explains their absurd questions during Session's hearing.

CNN presented a story that was circulating, making it clear that it has not been verified. That is not "fake news." Claiming that Ted Cruz's father was involved in the assassination of JFK without sources or evidence, as the National Enquirer did, was fake news. Trump used that lie in his campaign. The irony is delicious. Exclamation mark.

If you keep using the word "fake," maybe it will magically become fake. The report exists. The question is how much of it can be verified.

No, it's Fake News, you just want it to be true so badly.

No, they referenced and linked to fake news and whipped up a frenzy of interest for it.
CNN are stuck with the label now. Like a vacuum cleaner became a Hoover, Fake News is CNN.

It has not been proven fake, it has been suggested it contains information that may not be true. Yuge difference.

Didn't Lyndon B Johnson have a massive cock that he used to wave at his staff? Maybe the BJ in his name stood for Blow Job?

Jake tapper ran a story that trumps lawyer was in Prague. He then retracted his story several hours later. That's fake news...that's specifically what Trump referenced in the press conference. Keep up.

Not a huge difference. Why do you keep making such dumb statements? If half of it is a proven hoax, we have to assume the other half is as well. Stop being so blind.

Where is it proven to be a hoax? Were the WMDs in Iraq a hoax? A lie? Or "bad intel?"

No, that's sloppy journalism. If Tapper doubled down on the false information that might be considered "fake news."

That was the point of the OP; to show the falseness behind the accusations against Trump. I think the thread should have been titled " Story on Donald Trump's Sexual Acts in Russia Exposed as Fake." instead. (but that's just me.)

Thread still did it's job so. Just a minor error on the OP's part.

Edit:

But then again the Title was from mainstream media. It is also important to reveal where the source comes from, for discernment purposes.

It's worse; Fake Tapper did double down when he pretended it was then a different Michael Cohen, lol
CNN have been caught and it's so beautiful to see them squirm!
