John McCain has admitted he was the source to the FBI, which matches 4Chan's story of events.

I'm looking through the 4Chan links now.
If what they are claiming is true, this is indeed FAKE NEWS via the commonly accepted definition. As it's all a baldfaced lie. Not only are the allegations not true (which is ancillary to whether this is fake news), but the dossier is NOT a CIA document and was NOT shared with the President.
If that is true, I would hope the CIA will step forward and squash this.
How does this prove the CIA did not share this info with Trump? Cnn claims they did share this info with Trump and Obama.
4 chan is claiming they started the story, and it grew such legs as even the CIA picked it up.
I believe I misspoke.
What I should have said is that according to the 4Chan links, the dossier is not a CIA document. As in, the document did not originate with the CIA, and if shared with the President, the CIA was merely a go-between and provided a two-page summary (that we still have not seen, as far as I know) that included some DISCUSSION of this third-party document.
That's different than what I thought originally. Originally, I thought this was a CIA document that MIGHT have been compromised by the CIA believing a troll story from 4Chan.
I'd like to see that two page summary. It's quite possible that the two page summary just said, "We received this crap and can't verify it but thought you'd want to know about it."

Yeah if you read the dossier it is clearly not a CIA document.
Rather or not they shared this information with Trump and Obama is a different question. Cnn is claiming they did.
My point is the CIA isn't in the business of holding meetings with the president to tell them they found crap. (Did they hold meetings with Obama about allegations he slept with Larry Sinclair?)
The fact that it took five minutes for Cohen to prove that he was never in Prague shows that it would have taken almost no effort for the CIA to prove this to be false.
So if they did bring this up to Trump and Obama, they are incredibly inept.
Also, apparently someone from the intelligence agency leaked the info to CNN they had a meeting with Trump on this. So it seems at least some within the intelligence agency are attempting to smear Trump.

Oh, so a major news organization was running pizzagate stories?

It mimics a post made by what must have been a teenage Bernie supporter describing his reaction and subsequent confrontation with his mother (who was bringing him dinner) when he found out that Hilary beat Bernie in his state primary.

Yep. A few. Also, all over the internet. No mention. No condemnation despite the REAL LIFE HARM it nearly caused. Derp. Pay for your crimes purveyor of filth.

Can you link to the real news organizations who gave weight to Pizzagate? Even Fox News called it a hoax...
"The whole internet" is not the same as "Real News Organizatons".
Most of Pizzagate took place on Twitter and Reddit.

That appears to be the case.
And if this plays out the way it's looking, I take back everything I've ever said about the MSM being guilty of bias rather than outright lying.
At the very least (again, if the 4Chan angle proves true), the MSM is guilty of reckless reporting of unverified facts, at which point bias has crossed the line into fake news territory.
I do not believe they would have done this to Hillary.
Now, Breitbart would have... but that's alt media.
Thanks CNN. You may have just given the "all media is fake" crowd all the ammo they need.

Well it doesn't help when one news organization is the umbrella of a thousand other news organizations. One regional or local story jammed out by an emotional editor can really taint the whole brand. CNN is a crap source to get information from anyways, but always remember that writers are still humans and many humans are honest regardless of their politics. You might get a good story on Breitbart or CNN if the author takes themselves seriously. Your best bet is to get sources from all spectrums and sources then make your own judgments and be somewhat skeptical. There's no other way. That's basically what everyone I know does.
So just provide some links real quick from legit news. I'm sure t shouldn't be too hard with how prevalent you say it was. I've searched several ways and can't find a link from a major news site propagating the hoax. They seem to denounce it.
