Is it allowable to link to images I have uploaded to sites like Flickr? If so is there a list of recommended image hosting sites to use? I would like to link to some large images that are over the ATS image size limit.

Any help would be appreciated

You can post the url of any image for people to click:

www.ssd.noaa.gov...

Ats isn't recommending any official image hosting service. In fact Ats has its own image hosting service, which is the "upload" folder. If you upload a pic there, you can create a cool thumbnail picture which people can click to see in full size:

Most file hosting sites are fine, with flickr being the most used here.

As long as the file linked is just an image file and not a executable one.

I use Photobucket, then copy the img link to the thread. It puts a smaller picture in the thread, and links to the original size image.

Thanks for the info swanne

I have noticed from other threads that some websites are banned to link to, I want to be sure there are no photo hosting sites that are banned

Yes but there's a size limit on ATS and he was asking about large images over the ATS size limit so you can't use ATS for hosting those.
