Yep.. Middle Eastern decent. Another terrorist attack under Obama's watch.

good probability in todays world that it could be a terrorist attack, but man you are jumping the gun quickly on that aren't you?

Surely you didn't come to that conclusion from a single fuzzy picture? Are you aware of additional information in this incident besides that pic that led you to believe it was middle eastern decent and terrorist attack? I thought the guy was spanish?

Yep..from the little fuzzy picture. Just joining the feeding frenzy along with all the other speculators.

Perhaps make you ship it separately to your final destination, to keep it totally out of the airport?

I did too, but I'm under the impression that some passengers managed to arm & barricade themselves, so it's possible that it may be as simple as a group of people waiting for a po-po all-clear before coming out instead of being nefarious types holed up.

OH they did?

WOW

Sheesh
Clicked on this thread hoping for discussion of the FT Lauderdale situation.
I'm listening to broadcastify and the Broward County Fire and Rescue are talking about a room "barricaded by people with guns". Not 5 minutes ago, the head of the local FBI office was saying everything was over with only one shooter. The BC fire guys were talking about shots being fired in terminal 3. WTF?

Does anyone know whats happening?

I know, I heard it too

If you heard it on the scanner, it could be a different incident somewhere else in the county.

If you were a nut job and wanted to shoot people at an airport, you could simply walk in with it. No shipping required.

eta: It used to be in the olden days you could just Fedex it to yourself, I think, but with the new improved wonder laws, you can't do that anymore. So if you're going to a function where you want one or more firearms, you have to drive or carry it as luggage on the plane. I've done it a bunch of times.

It's all downhill from here...

This time it was a "legally bag-checked gun", according to MSM.

Praying for the victims... another tragedy. 2017 won't be any different, will it?

Huazeinga Hangar. I heard on the scanner @ 30 min ago that they were going switch channels because of what was happening at the hangar and so many people were listening. These unfortunate incidents can be so confusing to monitor as the information changes so frequently. I'm just praying for the travelers involved.

Checking-in a firearm on a domestic flight is pretty normal. What are the rules for an international flight?
