It is only an insult if you chose to view it as such. I have patiently defended my post and it's intent and the attempts to marginalize me and categorize me as anything other than what I profess to be is merely a tactic employed by the left to discredit differing view points. I find your assertion that "insulting the ATS membership even in the mudpit gets noticed" to be a very empty threat by a frustrated keyboard warrior. I stand by ever statement I have made and am mildly entertained that a few random sentences strung together can cause such angst in peoples lives.....I have a life, I suggest you get one too.....now that was a little snarky.

This post is so hyperbolic and inaccurate it is hard not to snicker when I read it.

First of all, the economic advancement of Globalism has been greatly advanced and added by American Conservatism.

The men behind the scenes pushing globalism are some of the most persistent conservatives in American politics..

The same men who pressed for these words are the same men advising Trump behind the scenes, the Republican elites.

The same man who informed Reagan, Bush I, Bush II and now Donghole

Today’s liberals have little sense of reality or morality, they were never taught these concepts, we have a generation of snowflakes that only care about what is best for themselves; no matter the detriment it imparts to society as a whole.

Says the side that vehemently opposes providing higher education and healthcare to the entire populace because it would cause their taxes to go up.

Funding for both of these sectors has been increased for decades. Healthcare cost has dropped in relation to increased spending, while educational quality has decreased significantly alongside increases in government funding.

You want more of that?

Trigger Warning...if you are alt-left.t

Western culture is systematically being destroyed, to herald in globalization and multiculturalism. A nation that has no cohesiveness, will not last, it does not matter where the people hail from, what matters is that nations live under one banner, with one culture that binds all of us together, regardless of race, creed or national origin.

Today’s liberals have little sense of reality or morality, they were never taught these concepts, we have a generation of snowflakes that only care about what is best for themselves; no matter the detriment it imparts to society as a whole.

Liberalism is a mental disorder and it has infected our nation, look at the Democrat controlled inner cities, they are shambles. Detroit is a wasteland, Chicago resembles a third world country with its' level of violence. The left screams about how police are racist and slaughtering with impunity, ignoring the violence committed by those demographics that have embraced the left; and at the same time these same people call for the disarmament of all Americans (because those same police will protect them). What kind of logic is that?

The left will boast at how Progressive Socialism is a superior system, how Capitalism is unfair and oppressive. We would not be living in an age with our current levels of technology and comfort, without Capitalism. Socialism is the death of civilization, collapse does not occur overnight it becomes the slow rot of death.

Liberalism and political correctness must be opposed. The light of truth must shine, but how can that truth be understood by the left, they do not have the capacity to know or the care to know. Progressive policy and illogical tolerance are a societal cancer nurtured by the leftist media and our career politicians and accepted as truth by a servile public.

The cure is simple, yet difficult. It starts with educating the youth that are the real victims of the MSM leftist propaganda currently being disseminated. We can fix the problem by exposing the progressivism and illogical liberal PC doctrine currently enforced in our schools. Our schools need to be reformed by teaching civics, and non-revisionist American and World history. Most importantly we need to assure everyone a quality education complete with lessons in traditional moral values and critical thinking skills.

America was founded on faith and ideals and if all else fails we need to honor the sacrifice of the men and women who fought and died for this nation. Americans need to stand and fight against the creeping Totalitarian State that has been set in motion by Progressive forces worldwide.

What will destroy America is the very naive views of people blinded by their ideology and subscription to the choice of Ideologies and political parties given to them by the very people who are controlling the choice they make.

When are people going to learn that both political parties are just two wings of the same bird of prey.

For a long their is "this side of politics is right and that side of politics is wrong's, TPTB will laugh their box off at the stupid masses for being so easy to control and treat like idiots.

Awesome! Your post serves to prove your own lack of education in "both history and economics"!!

You cite "capitalism" as the root cause of manufacturing in cities like Detroit to move off-shore. You cite the ignorance of the workers to embrace automation as a reason for businesses to move off-shore where there is less "unreliable and error prone human labor". Were these not your words???

This is classic "SPIN" by the left. Pretty typical. Let's take a minute and go with your theme a little bit, let's look a little deeper at the REAL root causes, shall we?????

Don't worry...we're not going to have to look very far at all to find a gigantic, gaping and massive hole in your theory...

Who was it, exactly, who presented such a roadblock to this 'automation' you speak of which ruined / outsourced industries in cities like Detroit??? Who was it??? Do you know...with your alleged superior education in 'both history and economics'???? (apparently not).

It was the unions! The AFL-CIO unions opposed all this automation. They opposed it tooth and nail. And who are the unions, hmmmmmm????

The unions are overwhelmingly liberal left leaning organizations who have supported the democrats for the free ride for decades...THAT'S WHO!

So you want to frame the argument that it's the "capitalists", those big fat right leaning corporate moguls who caused all of this with their greed, but you'd be wrong...that is, unless you want to frame those same liberal left unions as being the "capitalists" of whom you speak. You want to talk about industry in cities like Detroit (something I happen to be very, very, well versed in)? Well, you better start reading up on that 'history and economics' you allege to be so educated in. Your education in spinning reality into something completely false and irrelevant is showing.

Sir, you've just been caught, dead-to-rights, spouting liberal "spin" and propaganda!

BTW...I have just a little bit (just a tiny bit) more than a "piss poor education in history and economics"!!

Try again (but make sure you've read up on your 'history and economics' first...you might need it)!

The unions opposed automation for the same reason that they oppose jobs being sent overseas. Namely, that both things would have caused unacceptable losses of jobs. Any loss of jobs is unacceptable, because these things are not merely a numbers game, but mean loss of livelihood for families, impoverishment of children, and that would have been the same regardless of whether jobs had moved overseas or taken by robots.

Both these things needed opposing at the time, and to an extent, still do. Unless companies are prepared to install automation without costing a single person their job, then there must always be pressure by unions to prevent that sort of callous behaviour toward the workforce.

In other words you want America to remain in the medieval dark ages when it comes to technology.

Sounds regressive imo, many Americans lost their jobs when we moved from horse and buggy to the automobile. Are you saying America should still be living in the pre-industrial era? Get back to the majority of people working agriculture?

This is what progress looks like, only a Regressive would oppose progress. There are plenty of other jobs that will be available, it's not the government's job to prop up failing industries.

No argument with this (in principle), but we have to examine what drives the loss of these jobs. The loss of these jobs is driven by soaring artificially high wage rates and benefits which aren't competitive in a free market. These lead to uncompetitive end-products in a free market.

I have no issue with the unions opposing job losses. In fact, I applaud them for this. However, it's their methods to retain these same jobs I take issue with. And to illustrate this point allow me to ask you a question (in the context of what would happen in the UK under similar circumstances)...

Imagine you're working a desk job in an office and you notice your trash can at your desk is full. (this is a true story too...it actually happened to me once). So, naturally, you get up from your desk and take your trash can to empty in the larger office trash receptacle. However, before you can make it two steps you've got two people standing in your face. One of them is a union shop "steward" and the other is a union "Laborer" who has just filed a grievance against you. Your written reprimand reads that you have violated union policy by attempting to empty your garbage...that was the union Laborer's job. Keep in mind, this Laborer makes $35+/hour (plus full fringe benefits) and his only job is to empty your trash can. How well do you think this scenario would fly in the UK??

Still feel the same way?

ETA...Note: The quoted $35+/hour wage rate was in the 80's, so I'm sure that same rate is now significantly more.

"Progressive" economic and social policies almost always require involuntary buy in or contribution. Take universal healthcare, it would require involuntary inclusion into a system against ones potential will. Another example are anti-discrimination laws, which regardless of their ethical reasoning, require everyone abide by a set of ideals that aren't inherently universal.

Is the left wing of American politics authoritarian.....is Progressivism inherently Authoritarian?

In response to the above posted comments I only wish to make an observation; There is little doubt that Conservatives like Rockefeller were the impetus behind the Globalist ideology but they were naïve when compared to people like George Soros who is using Progressivism as an axe to usher in a Globalist world order. The attached link from The American Thinker very succinctly analysis’s the dialectic….it’s short.

It's too bad every single thing the OP said is true and all liberals can offer is complaint on a thread that is complaining about their actions.
(How about logical constructive feedback instead?)

Sorry bud, anyone who dismisses logic , anyone who turns politically correct is a sick individual.
Ever wondered why Narcissism has been on the rise (which was a Nazi trait back in ww2?)
Ever wondered why the left have been doing the same actions the Nazi's did back in ww2? (Brownshirt tactics etc.) (I am comparing both because both are doing the exact same things.)

With the exception of George Soros, who are the people who control liberalism?
It isn't any rocket science to guess who is behind liberalism. Operation...Paperclip...

Mark my words, the people that you are supporting and pledging loyalty to are the very people who wants to see you in your grave for their depopulation control.

I'm not even a Democrat and I literally laughed out loud at your rhetoric. So you're telling me that muder is not immoral? Doesn't matter if it's state sponsored or not. When the right approves of bombing runs in other countries, surely you are not so naive to believe that we only kill the military. Do you disagree that education is imperative to the goals of a lower crime rate, proper childhood development? What about health care for poverty stricken individuals? How about Social Security? All of those things were brought about in our country by the left. Selfishness, business needs over basic human needs, MURDER and money grubbing pieces of # is what I think when I think of the right. Best get your facts straight, dude. You are WAY off base. To think I supported your kind when I voted for Trump makes me physically sick. YOU are not the definition of America. Corporate welfare is. Brought about by whom? THE RIGHT.

There was no way I was going to allow $Hillary in office and I disagreed with a significant portion of Bernie's platform. I'm not a fan of socialism. You have to put in an equal amount of effort as the hardest working individuals do to reap benefits. Way too many people take advantage of the system to just give them a free pass. Sorry.

I'm confused by your conflicting statements? First of all I don't have the slightest idea where you got the following; "So you're telling me that murder is not immoral? Doesn't matter if it's state sponsored or not. When the right approves of bombing runs in other countries, surely you are not so naïve to believe that we only kill the military." I don't believe I have even addressed the topic of the drone program?

If you read my OP you would see that I am a huge proponent of education and feel it is necessary to save our country. As far as Social Security, I think it is a promise to the American worker that if he invested his money in this nation for 40-50 years he would be able to retire with a modest pension...a good thing. Universal health care is provided and always has been, it's been subsidized by the taxpayers for indigent women with children and at hospital emergency rooms for decades. I do not believe that my government should be able to force my to buy insurance or pay higher premiums to provide healthcare for everyone.

When you speak about the "hardest working individuals" reaping the benefits I agree...just look at the President-elect, a man who works seven days a week and sleeps six hours a night....and the Bernie reference was sarcasm.

There shall be no unity! Liberals will see to that. Conservatives must simply take back this country now and we've accomplished the first step with the recent ass-whooping in this election as we control the executive, legislative and judicial branches of federal government now, not to mention, all three levels in most state governments as well. When will liberals accept defeat and realize, most of this Nation doesn't agree with globalism? The answer... Never. But, too bad.
