exactly, the money we save by keeping them out and deporting the ones that are here will more than pay for the wall over time.

It doesn't seem like The right has any more sense then the left. The cost in maintaining something so large is rediculous, the wall wont do anything as it's fricking 2 dimensional in a 3d world. Around under above. And of course trump is going to back track on his promises he's every bit the douchebag that Hilary is. The only benefit, and I mean the ONLY benefit we got with trump over Hilary is that trump isn't rushing to war with Russia . He's still a nut job just like his supporters and those that supported Hilary.

The cost of the wall pales in comparison to the taxpayer drain illegals represent each year to our federal and state budgets, so no... not even remotely pissed.

This group and their employers generated about $13 billion in payroll taxes in 2010. The administration then subtracted about $1 billion in benefits that could’ve been received in 2010 from earnings in years when workers were unauthorized. Workers and employers contribute roughly the same amount.

I bet you didn't know that some employers put their illegals on the books so they end up paying taxes. Sure the illegals may use forged paperwork to do so, but paying taxes is paying taxes.

Not to mention State sales taxes, property taxes, taxes on gas and utilities, "sin taxes" on alcohol and tobacco products, etc. Even unemployed people have to pay those. I live in a State w/a sales tax and everyone has to pay it, even tourists & "illegals".

ETA: Oh yeah, I forgot that our counties also have sales taxes. And of course, everyone has to pay them too when making purchases here. Even for food.

Second of all, IDGAF how the thing gets built, as long as it gets built. That's what is important to me, someone one state removed from the border and sees everyday the strain ILLEGAL immigration puts on an already strained system. ESPECIALLY the healthcare system.

Sorry but most Trump supporters feel the same way and aren't going to be "pissed" because Mexico isn't paying for it.

So, if the US pays for it, so be it.

It'll get done a lot quicker this way. Obama probably spent more on vacations in eight years than the wall will cost, so at least these funds are going toward something good for our country...not his majesty and family's entertainment.

Not even remotely close...The concept that illegal immigrants from Mexico drain local or federal dollars is a myth made up by the Right Wing to excuse their intolerance of brown people.

Every study and research around the subject has shown the same.

Why WOULD they ever pay taxes? They're essentially ghosts. The vast majority of them come here, take the construction and skilled labor jobs away from Americans, sneak their girlfriend over so they can start popping out anchor baby after anchor baby, she signs up for WIC/TANF/SNAP and Medicaid. Qualifies for section 8 housing so the rent is free or very little, she files taxes to get the 15k in earned in one credit, all the while Papi is making $20+ an hour, tax free.

Do all ILLEGAL immigrants do this? No, but a lot of them do because it's easy and the section 8 housing is like a palace compared to where they're from.

Under the Onama administration you have social workers tripping over themselves to give these folks every government aid they can think of...

The same isn't true for a family of six, who are legal American citizens, who've paid taxes, did things the right way, etc. but when dad lost his job and the savings ran out they can't even get WIC or food stamps. Because they paid taxes and maybe have a nicer car, they have too many "assets" to qualify.
