If the first was 5.7 and the rest are in the 3 range that would seem normal to me.

Any more news on this one? They talked about it as breaking news this morning on Sky in the UK.....then nada, zilch all day...very strange when they mentioned a lot of people have been killed.

The normal pattern of aftershocks but this quake in that location of that size is not normal.
He mentions it here.

I posted this reply in the thread dedicated to this quake.

The 6.1 seems to have been an aftershock of the 8.1 rather than of the 7.1 based on location.

About 150 miles east of Seattle, in Toppenish, WA, they just had a 3.7 EQ.. Hopefully its not a foreshock for greater EQs coming to the WA state area..
