Well if this economy comes crashing down around our ears, we will be able to say thanks to Clinton, Bush and Obama. Clinton and Bush both knew that the housing bubble and banks acting like casinos would lead here. Obama just added to the debt to keep this party rollin. All 3 did the wrong thing.

He got appreciation from Colonel Qadaffi for becoming president of the US and being one of the "sons of Africa" before the Colonel received anal pleasure from his fellow camel riders and was promptly promoted to the afterlife.

Please stop trying to rewrite history!

The Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, commonly referred to as Dodd–Frank, was signed into federal law by President Barack Obama on July 21, 2010.

Passed as a response to the Great Recession, it brought the most significant changes to financial regulation in the United States since the regulatory reform that followed the Great Depression. It made changes in the American financial regulatory environment that affect all federal financial regulatory agencies and almost every part of the nation's financial services industry.

en.wikipedia.org...

Trump and Paul Ryan have vowed to repeal Dodd-Frank.

If the economy comes crashing down around Trump's ears, it's on Trump and the Republicans.

Don't be coy. If the economy crashes under Trump's watch, he WILL be blamed for it. The circumstances for it don't even matter. How does the saying go? "The buck stops here". Obama took the blame for everything under the sun that happened with the government so you better BELIEVE that Trump will own any disasters that happen while he is President.

It also doesn't help that Trump isn't a fan of fact checkers. So don't count on policy nuance to save him from the blame. You live by shallow reporting; you die by it.

Hell, there are people that blame Obama for the 2008 recession even though he wasn't in office.

Yeah. Just an honest analysis of American political thinking makes it easy to come to that conclusion. That's how Obama was blamed for "Obama phones".

Sounds more like you're biased towards false fairness because you felt you benefited.

Sounds like you are so far into your own BS you can't really read what I wrote. But try again.

Calling it how it really is is more honorable than accepting a gift and allowing it to manipulate your mind.

LMAO. I seriously don't know what to say to this one. Only that it is your brain that is being manipulated. "False fairness"? Pointing out when someone actually did something correct is false fairness? I called it what it is. First time I've actually seen someone do something more about the homeless problem than complain.

This thread is about his successes. He successfully did everything he wanted to do. He's my enemy and that was his aim. You seem to be missing my point as well.

Remember that sometimes help from the truly benign may end up passing through the begrudging messenger.
Don't give credit to the evil messenger. That's not the source. In fact, it is usually that messenger's punishment for manipulating one's self into the position.
I feel I'm talking to people who cannot see past their own circumstances...

And I'm talking to someone who can't see beyond their own delusional take on the world and personal circumstances.

Incentives for individuals to become Sole proprietors or Contractors is the ONLY way to give to the homeless.
You can print your ad at the Library and tack it and toss it wherever you want. Do the job right, build up, land a couple of really excellent contracts wherein money is paid upfront, set everything up, and get messy and productive.
It's actually very easy to do out of a cardboard box if you use your mind to solve problems instead of complaining about them.

Uhhh, now I know I'm talking to someone that is delusional and has about as much understanding of the real world as an ivory tower liberal. I'm gonna leave this one alone.

I am, however, going to state this: When I was homeless, I didn't sit around complaining about my circumstances. And I sure as hell was not expecting, nor really looking for help. But when it was offered, I was very thankful for every little bit of help offered. I was every bit resigned to the idea that I would likely spend the next couple years trying to get back into functional society the old way: Completely on my own with no aid from state or private charities other than soup kitchens and clothing banks. But I didn't have to. Because the VA and state/local agencies now offered me a quicker way back to independence.

One year later, I was working full time, paying my own bills, in my own place paying my own rent, not needing assistance at all. In other words, independent like any normal person wants to be. The assistance I got wasn't just food and temporary housing. It was also training for job skills, and learning how to network, how to build my own safety net financially and socially. You know, so I don't end up homeless again and needing government assistance.

How evil.

What has hindered me so much and what has always caused my problems is that the squeaky wheels get in my way and cause me hell.
And I don't like it, so I say it to whomever I please. That's my own personal issue.
But if you sit down and take account of anything around you or in your possession, even your garbage, and arrange the list in different ways as if you were trying to crack a code, as long as you have a vision in your mind of the lock that key should unlock, you will be able to create key, or atleast find it what is missing from that key so that you can get it.

This is the part of work that people forgo that creates the poor environment we're in today.

The only thing hindering you is your own attitudes and beliefs. Blaming others for your own failings is a liberal thing.

The rest of of your rant shows the total lack of perspective or understanding of the issue to begin with.

No problem solvers, all problem creators.

It's ugly, I tells ya. I drink because of it.

Blaming your failings on others again? Very liberal thing to do.

I agree, few problem solvers, too many problem creators. The reason for this: people are delusional and out of touch with the actual problems, so why should their solutions be any less delusional and out of touch?

Now THIS is the best analysis ever of the situation.

You are right. the current economy and it's state is the combined effort of the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations. Clinton, his supporters, and many Republicans all backed sub-prime mortgages for their own various reasons. Bush added to the trend with irresponsible short term bandages like interest rate drops and encouraging more debt. Obama? Bailed out and did nothing to punish the very people responsible for crisis, even rewarded them, and continued business as usual.

This disaster was a joint effort.

After some 14 year old mentally challenged child raped a 4 year old twice on camera on school grounds. Texas indicated that they were going to do nothing to prevent a future attack.

And yet the Menendez brothers were victimized as children, as was Charles Manson. Texas was attempting to create a new serial killer out of this 4 year old.

And on another forum I said in my irritation to seeing the 4 year olds grandmothers irritation about the lack of response to protect her child I said "Ebola, it's coming." And two weeks later it landed in the very state that refused to protect this child.

And thanks to Obama being under my dark spiritual control he let Ebola walk right in the front door. And yet black people aren't abducting Obama even though the Commander in Chief's job is not to keep from wounding African nations feelings when they very likely were being chastised by a higher power for the same kind of conduct that occurred in that Texas school. His job was to shut down flights to everyone who was not an American citizen.

This kid in this video. This wasn't about justice otherwise they would have abducted Obama when he represented a threat to black lives and the public safety of American citizens in trying to not wound African people's feelings.

This is why I say this abduction was racial coveting. They feel they were deprived of a white birth, so lets abduct a defenseless child, rather than go after a treasonous President of the same race who was jeopardizing the lives of American citizens and black lives.

So, thank Obama for responding to my call for "Ebola, it's coming" I enjoy having you all under my spiritual control.

Being objective is a trait that you and I share. Many here are tied to a D or an R.

I am not in either of the clubs, it is high time the politicians start to work for us.

Yes, what was that line from the movie Harry Potter?

"It's seems that Vauldemorte has given some of his power to you".

Doesn't the dragon give his power to the beast in some ancient middle eastern religious text?

Doesn't the beast cause fire to fall from heaven in the full view of men in that same middle eastern text?

On the positive he also brokered an end to the cold war. He had many faults, but overall he wasn't bad.

Can't argue that the cold war ending was a positive.

Some argue that the situation with the stagnant pay since 1975 is a result of the weakening of the unions. This also is a reason that medical care is so hard to afford. If there was increases in pay, medical would still be affordable.

There is pretty hard evidence to put the time frame with Carter/Reagan time frame where the wheel started to come off the rim.

What exactly is the point of this thread? You challenge people to post accomplishments, people do, then proceed to mock them - granted, its the mud pit, but can we not elevate discourse on here a bit beyond the jr high cafeteria level? It seems the OP has zero desire to actually discuss or be non-partisan about any of it, and its this nonsense that is turning ATS into a Jerry Springer episode.
