And So It Begins...JOBS-JOBS-JOBS!

It looks like companies are giving the new U.S. 'Pro-Business' environment a huge vote of confidence.
THIS could be wonderful news for the U.S. economy...and for the forgotten working men & women in the 'Rust Belt'.

Hopefully...this is just the beginning of jobs and industries returning to the great U.S. of A.

Ford cancels Mexico plant. Will create 700 U.S. jobs in 'vote of confidence' in Trump

Ford (F) CEO Mark Fields said the investment is a "vote of confidence" in the pro-business environment president-elect Donald Trump is creating.

However, he stressed Ford did not do any sort of special deal with Trump. "We didn't cut a deal with Trump. We did it for our business," Fields told CNN's Poppy Harlow in an exclusive interview Tuesday. He said Ford did speak with Trump and vice-president elect Mike Pence this morning.

Huh, it would seem that the right environment DOES stimulate jobs, with economy hot on its heels. Who woulda thunk?

All you had to do is live through the 80s and the 90s to know this would work. This is a great start for Trump

Relax.

Someone will soon be on here to state how bad it is for the economy that more people are working and won't be relying on government.

And the MSM stopped at nothing, still haven't stopped, at trying to stop all of this.

It's a matter of time until democrats take credit for the Dow skyrocketing, Carrier, Ford, and SoftBank since they occurred while Jimmy Carter, I mean Obama was still in Office..

Seriously, it's unfathomable to us today but mark my words, the history books will be written that Obama's presidency went out on a high with the DOW nearing 20,000 and optimism at an all-time high with companies clambering to stay in the US thanks to Obamas leadership…

Never put it past progressives to rewrite the truth…

Ummm...the following quote is laughable..."However, he stressed Ford did not do any sort of special deal with Trump. "We didn't cut a deal with Trump. We did it for our business."

They didn't do any sort of special deal...no...perhaps not...They did however...do the math...on the 35% tax per item shipped back to the US from their outsourcing penchant...

Um hmmm, you can believe that if you like. He stressed "there were no deals", just a 'favor' to Trump.

Riiight...

To be sure, Ford acknowledged in a statement that it would still move production of the next-generation Focus sedan to Mexico. But it will be built at an existing plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, not at a new facility.

No 'new plant' just expansion of an already existing one.

Ford's expansion will convert 700 temporary jobs at the Michigan plant into permanent positions, adding to an existing hourly staff of about 3,600.

No 'new jobs', either.

You are correct...it is a simple mathematical equation…
But which math is important…
The regulatory[read liberal] constraints foisted upon American business by our legislature have been debilitating to the American economy for 50+ years...

With costly regulations gone, companies will return home...where they belong, America…

Trump's tax cuts will be wonderful as well as the tariffs but DEREGULATION is the key to his economic plan and to its inevitable success…

Aside: It was not fair to expect a community organizer to understand economics in any adult manner so I don't hold Obama accountable for his gross incompetence in dealing so poorly with the American economy…
It would be tantamount to calling double dribbling on a 3 year old in a basketball game...A toddler can no more understand the rules of basketball than a community organizer can understand American capitalism…

Disagree on the "new jobs" as Ford will open up 700 jobs on its payroll as opposed to being on the various temp agencies or contracting firms they are using.

This is an important distinction, because full-time permanent jobs are what will mark true economic growth as opposed to the part-time, temporary jobs which exploded under the Obama administration. Permanent jobs mean security and benefits.

I have 10 years of experience in Staffing and Recruiting, and I can tell you that this is important because companies across the various markets I've worked have been afraid to make permanent hires because they did not want to take a bath in unemployment costs if they had to do more mass lay-offs like what happened in 2008.

It's not as easy/cheap to get rid of a permanent employee as opposed to a temporary worker/contractor.

We are not progressives or liberals…
We do not apologize for splitting the atom and landing on the moon…
We are the greatest civilization in the history of the high West...
We will win in perpetuity so long as liberals don't undermine our ability to do so...
We are used to winning and are glad to be doing so again and will never tire of it…

Sorry liberals, there are trophies for winners and countries whose sensibilities reside squarely in the Stone Age are losers while those who walked on the moon are winners…
