Other than as 'imaginary', an 'illusion', 'time' cannot exist.
Einstein remarked how 'time can be eliminated from his equations, and it would still balance.
Time and motion are 'illusions', and the philosopher (not Hawking) examines the basic assumptions that many are incapable of such critical examination.
All that exists, in Reality, is Here! Now!
All existence, ever, exists Here! Now!
This IS the Singularity!
And there will be no little whirring machines that will transport our heaving, sweating bodies to other moments Here! Now!
The 'future' and the 'past' exist in your thoughts/imagination!
Do the experiment;
At any moments of your life stop, for a moment, and ask yourself where and when am I ('am'- to Be/Being; Here! Now!)?
You will find that your Universal answer is Here! Now!
The literally 'timeless' (Planck_) moment; Now!
This is the 'coordinate' that intersects all other coordinates; physical address, state, planet..., Universality.

Great point Esarman! It's the same reason why you can't instantly zap yourself out to star that you're looking up at. It's not really at that location. You'd materialize in empty space and die quickly.

I would say that is evidence and compelling evidence for time travel.. Still hard to believe though.

That has been pretty much explained for the last 6 or 7 years.

The shirt is a Montreal Maroons hockey team T-shirt who played in the NHL until 1938.



The sunglasses were uncommon but available in the 1940 as was the camera.



So he was pretty much just a guy with a different fashion sense rather than a time traveller.
